Songs that should've been in GTA V

We have one of these for each forum, so here we go.

 

We all know that GTA V's vanilla soundtrack didn't exactly have the best reputation for being good. Too many bad songs, and was so repetitive that it zoned you out and made your brain go numb. It got a lot better with the current gen version, which added a lot more good songs and felt less repetitive, but there was still room for improvement.

 

This isn't a thread that's about a wishlist for what songs we'd like added in an update/DLC, because that already exists. This is about songs that we feel should've been in the game to begin with. As such, please keep it to 2013 at the latest (or 2014, if you're talking about the current gen version). It's been nearly three years since GTA V launched, and it's looking unlikely we'll get to hear new songs added in the game. Let's reminisce about the missed opportunities here.

 

Personally, I think Radio Los Santos should've been changed entirely. They added too many sh*tty "rap" songs by untalented rappers. All to often they felt fake and manufactured, and there were precious few songs that were halfway decent (mainly the songs Kendrick Lamar was in). Gucci Mane, really? Who else would they have added? Soulja Boy? I would've put the following songs on Radio Los Santos:

Wait wait wait wait wait a second... Hospin is in the damn game? What!!!!?? I have never ever heard or came across him.. On both LG and CG.. He's one of my favourite rappers! Ha

I feel like rockstar got the bargain bin of garbage rap music. cheap stuff that they could just throw into the game and none of it fit in with the cali vibe except for r cali and the schoolboy q songs they had in the next gen version.

 

next game better have some good rap, none of that yg im a real one trash
