Insurgent Has no Armor

When I see an insurgent I run straight for it head on. Can't help it. Been squished a few times while machine gunning the windscreen but worth it. If I'm going they're going with me.

Soran Is On

For such an apparent armored vehicle, why is it so easy to get shot out of the insurgent? One shot from any gun and boom, you are dead. Insurgent seriously serves zero purpose in this game

Even driving full speed I still get shot out with only a couple shots.

Play free aim noob

Instead of berating you into submission I'll just affirm that it sounds like one of the armored executive vehicles might be more "your speed". Each window takes a good amount of hits from an AR, 16 or so I believe and they can survive two explosions. I have to admit that my compulsiveness drives me to be in and out of LSC to make sure no one ever gets a shot through a weakened window.

Just be more observant and try not driving head on into people if you know you're in an auto-aim lobby.

Be fast

Begin performing auto-fellatio by holding 'x'

These are sure fire ways to survive most people shooting at you in yer Insurgent

This. This is also why all 4 of my Insurgents have the 100% LSC armor upgrade to begin with. Just so it can take a tiny bit more. A full bp conversion would be sweet.

Armour only protects body work, deformation.

Atleast what I've seen.

People can still shoot you and blow you up with same amount of missiles.

100% Armor insurgent takes 9 stickys to explode

80% Armor (stock) insurgent takes 5 stickys to explode

WHAT??

Adding 100% armour to any other vehicles didn't make them sticky bomb or missile resistant.

Is this special for the insurgent considering it is already armoured and you are basically adding 20% more of that stock armour to it?

For other vehicles it only adds deformation durability.

I'm not sure if it works on any other vehicles or not, but I am sure the insurgent and armored kuruma get a extra benefit from 100% armor, the insurgent gets a big change while the kuruma has a smaller benefit from it.

The kuruma still doesn't take a sticky but i have seen cars blow up right next to it and it's fine, tanks run it over, falling on its roof during pacfic standard and not losing cash, ect..

This is absolutely not true at all.

All vehicles can take a lot more small arms rounds before smoking and exploding if they have armor added compared to if they do not.

The sticky bomb durability is a red herring in this conversation because most vehicles cannot take an explosion at all without being destroyed, and when the armor makes them more durable they STILL are not durable enough to survive an explosion. This doesn't mean the vehicle is not more durable, it means that that the added durability is still not enough to survive an explosion.

Adding level 5 armor essentially doubles the durability of any vehicle, but most vehicles even doubled cannot take an explosion. Most vehicles, however can survive near explosions that they would not have survived otherwise if they were not armored. Since the Insurgent is already so durable it can survive multiple explosives then adding armor to it makes it survive that many more explosives than it could before.

It's really, really obvious they take a large amount more small arms fire which is very apparent if you spend time on lone 4 and 5 star police chases. Cars with armor added go far longer without smoking and blowing up. I do know for a fact that my armored and uparmored Insurgent can survive 5 or 6 direct RPG hits.

This indeed. However the extra armor only works when you are in it. When nobody is in it, it blows up faster for some reason. At least, thats what i experienced.

This does actually appear to be true. I can survive near explosions in my Kuruma that will destroy it if I'm not in it.

I love seeing when there are 2+ players running folks down in an Insurgent. I immediately go on the offensive. Once they're out of their vehicle, you find they usually can't fight very well.

I do love my Insurgent, though. Especially during the PacStan finale. I love driving ahead and playing fullback for the Kuruma and its valuable contents. So much fun sending cops and their vehicles flying.
