I thought this would be a good time to ask this now that the ultimate weapon elimination game has concluded.

 

If you've been on GTA Forums for a while now, you've probably noticed the various elimination games. And if you're a regular participant in said games, you probably know that we've had a lot of different elimination games. We've done a whole lot of vehicle classes, gone around the entire weapon wheel, and many more.

 

What was your favorite elimination game? Least favorite? Discuss.

Grenade Launcher Team aka Grenadiers

A grenadier-brother.

 

I don't think I've been around long enough to have played the earlier games. I think (think) I first became a regular around the heavy weapons game, though I may have dabbled the ones before that, my memory's fuzzy.

 

I think I'd go heavy weapons though too. I became a grenadier, and I got to show my contempt for the homing launcher.

The one that I won, naturally ;)

 

Radio Stations was a bloodbath but quite entertaining at the same time... got through a lot of popcorn on that one

So here's what I'll say:

Police and Emergency Vehicles - first piqued my interest in these games. I loved the topic and loved the battles between the vehicles. The graph was born here.
Shotguns - wasn't a shotgun guy and my heart wasn't in it
Heists - I really loved this. So glad to help the good fight for Humane Labs, which actually won
Heavy Weapons - Really got into the graphs and the RPG vs Grenade Launcher battles.
Radio Stations - quite fun to watch and graph, but I was much more of a viewer than a participant here. Too toxic
Thrown Weapons - Very fun. Had to be very strategic and play weapons against each other. Really played "the game" very well
GTA Forums Members - I was host so....I can't be objective here. Of course I loved this
Vehicle Brands - same^
DLC Weapons - brief but gave rise to the "meme" weapon. I was pleased to see GTAF say "f*ck it" collectively
Ultimate (Weapons) - very fun to play and watch, it was anyone's game for the last half

 

I don't really have a favorite. I've really enjoyed them. Only thing I don't like is the drama. The personal drama is probably the worst part of these games. But it's been cool to have these debates when they stick to the topic at hand. I live for the unpredictability and the discussions. I like it when you have no idea whats going to happen and there's so many people participating.

Most favourite:

Radio Stations - by far the most entertaining (and controversial) of the lot. One of the few games where the best option made it out on top

SUVs - the Granger winning by one of the largest margins in an elimination game was well deserved

Police and Emergency Vehicles - while one of the slowest elimination games, the array of worthy vehicles made it difficult to select which to vote up/down

DLC Weapons - no explanation required.

Least favourite:

GTA Forums Members - one of the few games where I began to lose interest as it dragged on
