She (or he) dispenses snacks, calls you to tell you things you already know, speaks inane banter, and she will sometimes troll-call you with offers for rare items that you can't buy.

 

BTW, the snacks aren't really free. Many of the times you re-stock it will charge you $1 (no matter how many snacks/smokes/beers you get), according to what's shown in the corner of the screen and on the bank transaction log.

Effectively, they're "free" and they save you a trip to a store, but you also get to rob the store, so... Convenience

 

Oh, and you can still the floors in OP's pictures. Wait until you sell a few million more.

F*ck I miss those guys , I remember when you'd meet them for the first time when you got back from the guardhouse, near enough shat myself in real life when the first one jumped out infront of me in that narrow corridor. During my first playthrough I was sh*t scared of every cornerin the mansion after that moment.

I've still got that noise they used to make etched in my mind too. A kind of high screech. Ah, good old days of old resident evil.

 

I remember being in the basement in Resident Evil 2 as well, everything about it was great. Miss those games.

The old games just have that special essense to them that just draws me back every few years, makes me happy I bought the remake for Xbox One.

 

The bit I remember the most was the first time you meet Yawn in Resident Evil 1, the way he enters, the way the battle pans out, everything's just perfect in my eyes.
