PS4 Beginner

Hi All,

 

So way back in the day I played GTA V on the 360, but recently moved up to the PS4 version. I didn't play on line much, but I was able to move my level 6 character over to the PS4.

 

But I'm finding that no matter what I do, I either get kicked from missions (I assume because I'm only a lowly level 12) or even if I host a mission, people join, then quit right away.

 

There don't appear to be many single player missions with good payout so I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the low level solo player?

 

Or are there any kind folks on PS4 that are willing to help a lowly level 12 gain a few levels?

Eastern.. I generally play from 7-9pm on weekdays, and weekends mostly in the afternoons.

EDIT: I'm currently playing with the Revolver even in missions, so if I accidentally disable your car, it's because the gun does extra damage to vehicles and it's so goddamn slow I can't shoot NPCs before they hide again.

Wow, thanks for the replies!! Here's a follow up question: I hear people chatting in freeroam, but I have yet to come across another person with a mic in the heists and missions etc..

 

Is that normal? I've got mine turned on and I've said "hello... hello... testing... can anyone hear me?" but no one ever replies.

is your voice indicator moving when you talk? should be the speaker beside your name if you're about to start a mission or heist. if it moves, there's nothing wrong. btw if you only want some leveling and sort of money, you can be one of my associates psn: xBiEnumah if you are only interested though.

Find a team and when u unlock heists do all of them from beggining to the end u will get 1 mil bonus + money earned from it. When u do this u can start doing missions as VIP which will give u good boost of cash and rp and u dont need to forever wait in sh*ttty gta invite sessions. (u need 1mil in bank account to be vip)

Re the mic 96+% of people are in party chat that's why no one responds to you. If someone is on game chat chances are they're sharing their exquisite taste in rap music.

better off leveling up first, as it will be hard to get people to join your heists until you crack the level 50 mark, the fastest way to farm RP at the moment would be the CEO work, again its hard as a low level to find a CEO willing to hire you for crate deliveries but you can get lucky. There use to be easy ways to farm RP and money with certain Contact missions but Rockstar put an end to that a long time ago. It's a long grind to the top these days on Current gen consoles, and as a result, there's a plague of modded accounts being transferred from PS3 to PS4.

 

Shame really as rank once meant something. Now the higher the rank, the worse the player as a large number are noobs playing on 1000+ rank modded accounts.

 

Try looking for player created LTS matches - Rockets vs insurgents, doesn't matter what level you are, pretty even playing field

I still haven't done the all in order challenge and I'm level 300 on my main account lol. You should wait till you get to the level where you can attempt the Criminal Mastermind Challenge, You have to do all heists in order and on hard with the same crew and no one can die once!

 

If you hit it, you'll get the all in order challenge bonus - $1mil +

Heist loyalty bonus - another $1mil +

Criminal Mastermind Challenge $10mil, total of $12mil for about 6-7hours work if you don't mess up.

 

I would seriously recommend forgetting about heists. Your time would be better spent joining the player created Last team Standing missions - rockers v insurgents, snipers v stunters, there's a whole heap of them on the social club website.

 

WARNING: don't join the player created team death matches or the Pakor death matches , which have 9999999 RP! $999999! kind of sh*t in the title. They are spawn traps which are heavily weighted towards the host who knows the secret to getting to the weapons and can then sit there killing everyone else trapped at the spawn points. It's a cheap and nasty way for unskilled players to build their KD and unlock weapon tints etc. Don't fall for the trick.

I really like the heists though, gives me a sense of purpose and a goal to achieve instead of just trying to kill people.

I also much prefer to go into a battle with a human team against bots, in what you are suggesting i do, is there activities along these lines or is it just PvP?

I'm in the EST as well, but usually on a bit later than you, 9pm/10pm - 1am EST.

 

If you are on that late, I strictly run heists and happy to have you as a 4th whenever we need. You'll make some very easy money and level up quickly. You won't have to do much.
