Like I said its based on some vague number throwing. Ive read reports varying from a 30-40% chance of 3 separate crates (unless I miss understood and have it backwards)

So based on that a good 60% of the time you earn 2 extra crates then when done 1 at a time. so factoring in the ones you have to do separate you theoretically cant sell 3 large warehouses like someone with friends but you should theoretically be able to sell twice with a head start on a third fill up

Ok so I opened up Excel and did some number crunching. Assuming that 60% of the time its a single trip (equal to a single crate run) and 40% of the time its all separate (and assuming it takes about the time of 2 single crate runs to get all 3)

your looking at around 79 runs of 3 (so 47 single and 32 separate) in a similar time to fill a large warehouse 1 by 1 which means you earn around 126 more crates which is an extra large sale and about 15 crates as a head start

Way too many assumptions though. Who said it was 60/40? I'd be surprised if it wasn't just completely random. Also, why would it only take the time of 2 crate runs to collect 3 crates?

Even if those numbers are somewhat accurate, I would be bored out of my skull doing three trips 40% of the time.

Just because the order is random doesn't mean that there is no a statistical chance of one or the other happening.

and the 2 to collect 3... well yea that was a BS number not gonna lie. but if in a buzzard it probably closer to 1.5-1.75 single trips to collect all 3. I just mainly chose 2 to give the benefit of the doubt to any opponents on the head start number.

and now back to how I got the percent. well right now i only found 2 examples. (can't remember what other topics i saw them at {cant find the guy that said it was around 5/7 for him})

but you do have ~70% chance on the last page

and i have a 66% chance over here

Here we go. missed it when i glanced through the wall of text

http://gtaforums.com/topic/857848-ceo-crate-profit-comparison/?p=1068867037

he says for him its 4/7 (about a 57% chance)

but also says it could be 5/7 for others (71% chance)

I'm actually noting down the results from my own cargo collections. Not enough to get a solid result yet, but I'm hoping to gather solid info on more of this update's things - the chances of crates versus vehicles, how long things take, etc.

I might (might) make a guide for the cargo collections. I'm not exactly the master of cargo, so the helicopter guides I already made are more my thing. Still, there's always someone out there who could do with help, and I might be able to gather info on stuff in the process.

Not decided yet though.

Ill try to write mine down also. I usually buy 2 crates per time dunno if that gives a better chance of hitting a 1 vehicle deal. If I remember ill post the results in here tomorrow.

I agree. Associates aren't even payed enough for their work, you can't always have someone helping you out when they get so little in return.

that would be great guys. I do hate using vague numbers.

oh and something to keep in mind Roba. You may be forgetting about the cooldown period after each run (for me its about 2.5 min wait) so thats 5 min I dont have to wait around in my office to get the other 2 crates (if the 3 are separate)

Well its been a couple of months since i have even fired up GTA or damn near any game for that matter.......But i had read the emails about the new update, so yesterday i decided to check it out,

So i went out and bought myself an office wasted some money upgrading it and a couple of warehouses

At first i was disappointed because all the work had to be done in public, mainly because my wife like to play also (2 ps4s in the house) and she is a very casual player and sometimes the cops and other A.I. frustrates the hell out of her and then you throw in players who are real good at stopping you in your tracks ....that frustration grows

There are a few things i think need a little consideration ......

why cant trucks move more than one crate after all most full sized cars could haul 3 of them

Why do i have go back to my office to buy another load.....after all i am paying my assistant 300 bucks a day that equals $37.5 and hour for a 8hr day......that pay scale is way above the norm for an assistant

Why cant any of the members of my organization pick up any of the crates as the CEO i should be able to line up the work and have let them do it....of course the pay they get should increase if they make the pick ups or deliveries .........maybe this changes with more members i dont know, so far i have tried this with only my wife as a member and she gets no icons telling her where to go other than a message to help me ....i can see her TV so i know she sees nothing, unless i am doing a delivery then see can see the drop off points, but we did not figure out how for both of us to make drops

I do wish we could do these in private or crew lobbies, even if it was at a reduced pay rate.

But i also know that doing it in private would make it become mundane and boring after a while

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I agree we should be able to carry more than one crate but only in certain vehicles that are big enough and we should have to run back and forth to put the other crates in the vehicle it's a bit stupid for a person to be able to carry 3 crates at once.

I agree with the missile jammer if we are able to use our phones and change the radio station while flying than pushing one button for the jammer should be no problem. I also think the jammer should be longer or permanent.

A bit OT the missile jammer should be available for all unarmed aircraft.

I agree with what your saying but I think Rockstar is using this to try to encourage us to be more active online because of all the challenges and the amount of effort that is required to fill up a warehouse. I guess they're trying their hardest to keep GTAO from going dead.

Of course you KNOW the answer to most of that is because forcing it to be more running around makes it take longer for the sake of taking longer and feel like it's more content than it really is.

Associates can grab crates but perhaps you're not leaving your office to get the call and map marker(s) for the scenario after you start it.

There's a couple threads here which discuss how to get by yourself in a "public" session if you want to play this stuff in a more casual style.

Let me also encourage you to try the couple new VIP challenges and VIP work missions added. They're great fun if you have a person or two in your organization and pay (at least your associates) better than shagging crates.

You're right, but they've done it in quite a clumsy, forced way (in my opinion).

What I think they should have done is not only allow large vehicles to carry cargo, but allow people to make larger orders than 3 crates (let's say 6). That way, a group of players can go after really big money, while lone wolves like myself can turn a decent profit (and more importantly, not do the back and forth stuff).

What they've done, to my mind, fells more like punishing solo people than rewarding groups.

Another thing to bear in mind is that groups do have other advantages - they can deal with AI enemies much quicker, and in a public session ... Well if there are armed vehicles around, you kind of need friends protecting you.

-snip-

I didn't think to note down the order of them actually, that's good thinking. This is what I've written down so far (I'll edit this post as I get more):

animal materials:
crates: 1
Vehicles: 3
electronic goods:
crates: 1
vehicles: 4
counterfeit goods:
crates: 1
vehicles: 2
narcotics:
crates: 3
vehicles: 4
art and antiques:
crates: 2
vehicles: 5
gemstones:
crates: 3
vehicles: 2
medical supplies:
crates: 4
vehicles: 5
weapons and ammo:
crates: 0
vehicles: 5
bullion:
crates: 1
vehicles: 5
tobacco and alcohol:
crates: 3
vehicles: 0
jewelry:
Crates: 2
vehicles: 1
Maybe I should start counting the order of them too?

Could you please say how many crates you buy at once and what warehouse size you got?

Also yeah im curious in what order you are getting them. Maybe my order is only related to small warehouses or the 2 crates. Or maybe this was all 1 big coincidence so far :)

Right now I've got two large warehouses, which I'm alternating between (to dodge the cool down timers). I'm also buying orders of 3 crates at a time.

I will have to start noting down the order of vehicles/crates I get too.

I wouldn't necessarily think of it as punishing. Think of it like this. Let's say you're doing a heist finale. Things move a lot smoother when you have teamwork and other players to help you. Imagine having to crowd control, be demolition, and hack all at the same time. Things are a lot simpler and easier when you have others to help you out. If you're moving and you move everything all by yourself and it is more difficult to move when you're working all by yourself, would you necessarily think it is a punishment? It's simply challenging us to cooperate and work together amongst all the evil and greediness that is in GTA. I'd rather have a surgery done with a team of doctors, nurses, and surgeons rather than just a single individual. It's similar to having a crew, you can handle killing off enemies when you have others to help you.

Cool, looking forward to seeing it. Just keep in mind ive only got 1 small warehouse. So in your case it might be six vehicles and then 2 who are seperates if its warehouse related. That is if warehouse size and package size dont matter.

Im in a crew that pretty much takes over whole lobbies and does CEO missions like crazy. One guy attacks anyone... and will pretty much get swarmed.

I don't do much CEO missions because i don't want anymore clutter. But im always down for being someones lacky :D

Incase people on the Xbox1 don't know yet, you can lag yourself out and be left solo in a public session.

1. Go to public session
2. Go to xbox dashboard
3. Go to network
4. Go to network settings
5. Double tap the offline on your left really quickly
6. Go out of dashboard and back to gta and watch everyone leaving in the next 5 seconds orso

You have to double tap really quickly else it will disconnect you from xbox live, takes some practise but works 100%

Only works with cable not WIFI

I have to disagree on that. To me it's not really all that much more challenging - it just takes longer and is less entertaining. The going back and forth really takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.

But everyone's different, and I appreciate your opinion on it.

These days the sessions I'm in tend to split pretty soon anyway, but more allies to turn to when i need them doesn't hurt. Thank you.

Yeah I can see where it can be nagging and annoying because it takes soooo long to complete. But if you could just go and get 111 crates in one go and boom it's done, I wouldn't be nearly as satisfied as I was when I finished my large warehouse because of all the time, energy, and hard work that I exerted. It makes it boring and annoying but you will be proud of your hard work once it's all said and done.

So ive updated my previous post and im still confused whether or not there is a fixed order for them. Tomorrow ill only test empty warehouses from the start seeing as nr2 was the only weird one cause I had a break in between filling it.

Right now Im thinking there is a fixed order for every warehouse if you remain in the same session. Like if the first 4 out of 8 packages are; vehicle, vehicle, separate, vehicle then the next 4 will be in that same order.

So "Mr Hunter" it might very well be that your large 111 warehouse will not be showing its order till youve filled it. And then seeing the first 55 are the same order as the next 55(worst case scenario). Or you have it like me and it's 4 per time.

Anyways ill check on your findings later on :)

Well here are some updated numbers, along with the order they came in:

animal materials:
crates: 1
Vehicles: 4
electronic goods:
crates: 2
vehicles: 4
counterfeit goods:
crates: 1
vehicles: 3
narcotics:
crates: 3
vehicles: 5
art and antiques:
crates: 3
vehicles: 6
gemstones:
crates: 4
vehicles: 2
medical supplies:
crates: 5
vehicles: 7
weapons and ammo:
crates: 0
vehicles: 6
bullion:
crates: 1
vehicles: 6
tobacco and alcohol:
crates: 3
vehicles: 1
jewelry:
Crates: 3
vehicles: 2
VCVCVVVCVVCVVVVC
"V" for vehicle; "C" for crates.
There was a session switch in the early ones (as far as I remember anyway) so that may have messed with things. Still, not sure if it's bound by sessions yet, so they might be useful. Later I'll see if I can find any p[patterns in that anyway.

ok. So I find it interesting that 25% of the time for 2 crates its separate. thats very interesting to me.

and Icant. your average is around 63-64%

and I'm at 57% but mine can be ignored for now. I've only managed to do 7 runs of 3 so far

Well if the first ones got "messed up" by changing session the next three strings of 4 equil 75% V and 25% C.

I guess we just need more data at this point. Ill fill up a small warehouse again tomorrow with 2 crates at a time and check if its 75/25 again. Also ill be looking for the first 4 to match the pattern of the last 4.

If that is again the case then ill do some 1 crate testing in the evening and see how they do :)

We are gonna judge you if you complain about not having allies in a mechanic that encourages you to have allies.

Ok guys i am trying to get a handle on the small, med, large warehouse.........yes i know i the bigger they are them more they hold...but do the profit margins increase with larger warehouses.....Currently i only have 1 small warehouse, yesterday i filled it up two times and sold it two times each time i sold the the 16 crates i got 240k for the sale and according to my screen I the 240k was double what i paid for the 16 crates (not counting ammo expenses ect.) I didnt think the money was good or bad as it took me about 45 Minutes to fill up and sale the small warehouse

Also the assistant says the more of a product we have increases what we can sale it for .....so lets say i buy 5 warehouse (i think we can own 5 right?) now i start filling up each warehouse but i use each warehouse to only hold one type of product and fill it with only that type lets say electronics ......now i have a small warehouse with 16 crates of electronic items when i sale that warehouse is my profit margin more than the double my money i have been getting ???
