their brutal way to punish the criminal

brutal-overpowered squad car , helicopter and inhuman abilities ( accuracy and range )

a simple tap ( even if themselves dinging your own tricked-out whip ) = 1 star

tendecy to overkill , a suspect holding up a store and getting away with the cash ? send 3 helicopter unit and whole NOOSE team to after them

I'm a law-abiding citizen so I have no problems with the cops.

Their helicopters that crash into mine; their teleporting ways; the infinite mass their cars seem to have; their superhuman abilities.

Β

I could write a book on why I hate the cops in this game.

How little you have to do to get them on your back in first place!

Β

How many of them respond to 1 and 2 star ratings!

Β

How they know where you are even if of line of sight! (Back in first days you could get out of line of sight and hide in a skip, behind wall or in a bush as they went past, now they alert even if it clear they cant actually see you)

Β

How accurate they become the longer you have a wanted level!

Has to be the most annoying feature in the history of video games.

Also one of the reasons I started practicing flying the jet lol I have become totally sick of them. I want to fight players not the damn cops!

They are total f*cktards. You can barely attempt to do anything fun without these basterds interrupting you.

I actually don't hate the cops that much. I mean ya ya... they swarm like bees and are annoying. But thats their f*ckin job.

Β

Β

I hate that they don't actually chase me when i try to film stuff. And i have to slow down for them to catch up... And they would rather just keep spawning infront of me dive bombing like cheating assholes. But other then that. They are very useful against camping ground players and useful as a distraction when on the move. They also provide auto aim over load against auto aimers, which makes it harder for them to get a lock on me while they struggle with cop lock ons.

Β

So for me.. i hate the cops just as much as i love them...lol

1. No crime minor enough not to get shot over

2. No crime major enough to deserve a military response

3. NOS / hyperdrive lead foot ability (I'm just jealous)

Β

Apart from that I don't mind the cops, I have Lester on speed dial on my keyboard, comes in very handy.

i hate them because i bumped into some npc on top of mt chiliad and got a star for it, also because they hit my car and give me a star for it, also how everything i do gives them a reason to kill me on sight.

I just hate them because they are lazily programmed. They're just dumb AI who throw themselves at you (literally) in increasing strength until you are overwhelmed with 5 stars and either call lester, kill yourself or MAYBE escape underground. Getting the cops on you in GTA Online might as well be a zombie horde with endless waves.

Oh gee, let's see here, where do I begin...

Β

First and foremost, their aim and endurance is utter bullsh*t, a helicopter sniper can headshot me hundreds of feet away from my position even if the helicopter he's carried in is violently shaking and turning and pummeling towards the ground. A cop can also take two times more damage than a regular Online player unless if you headshot them.

Β

Second, they have more experience drive-bying than any Ballas in existence, a pistol in the hand of a seated cop is more deadly than a kiddie with a minigun, and its not just the passenger cop who shoots accurately, so does his driver buddy! If you get pinned by a cop car in a non-armored car consider yourself royally screwed.

Β

Third, they have the bullsh*t hidden nitro fitted into their cars that make them catch up to any car, even a Banshee 900R on top speed, and instead of pit maneuvering you they just ram your back and the game forces your car to turn right or left to the nearest obstacle, it's that much of a cancer to deal with.

Β

Fourth, they have mind reading abilities, if you're running away from a crime scene and you hide in an alley three blocks away from where you were last spotted, they will intentionally pass by where you are hiding and then stop just a couple of yards away from you, get out of their cars, and automatically head to where you are EXACTLY with no method of searching the area, they literally waltz right into your position in the exact garbage bin you've been hiding in out of the other dozen garbage bins and yell "FOUND HIM!!!!".

Β

Lastly, they always get called if you commit any crime no matter what size even if there aren't any witnesses, and if there are witnesses they can trigger the cops just by looking at you even if they didn't call the cops, it's something you'd expect in a 2004 game and not in a modern AAA game.

Β

Oh, and the impound lot, f*ck whoever came up with the idea of impounds.

When you're looking for that squeaker through your scope and you're trying to get him whilst frantically looking at your energy bar deplete from the cops...you've found him...you've got a head shot and you pull the trigger milliseconds after the cops kill you.

Β

Arghhh!!!

ALWAYS INTERFERING WITH DEATHMATCHES.

Β

Β

I CANNOT stand being in a deathmatch and the police shoot me a couple times, and the person Im against kills me even quicker because of the aforementioned damage.

Β

This triggers me even more so when its a sniper fight.

Β

The Heavy Sniper doesn't 1 shot when you're over level 100, so any small bit of damage on you leads to a 1 shot.

Although cops in GTA5 aren't the most difficult force to deal with, I prefer the cops from IV. Their conduct seems so much more in line with what they should honestly be.

Their response time to when I call them while standing in passive next to a potential killer is quite fast.

Β

I think I enjoy calling the cops more than calling Merryweather.

don't forget the same catch-up ability they used aganist supercars

even if their tires are all popped , they still capable keep up aganist a super with BP tires

I should have recorded it, but yesterday had two stars on me. I'm in front of the cop driving literally, he's a mere two inches from me. The SLIGHTEST, smallest tap sends me spinning out of control.

Β

It's dumb. Let's not forget the terminator health they have, Chris Kyle aim with weapons, and the 'for no reason' stars you get for just simply walking by.

Β

When you say death match and bring up cops.. You must mean free roam pvp..

Β

In vanilla free roam pvp without any vip perks.. jobs or turn blind eye active cops will always come up.

Β

So unless you keep moving you're cop fodder. Hanging around an a area where cops have already arrived and still shooting means you want more cops to kill you. If you didn't.... you would be on the move. Thats my take on. Or killing yourself every few seconds instead of moving.

Β

Im always on the move... And i constantly get players sending me messages to stop running.. They think im running from them, but the fact is im just staying alive, avoiding cops and comming right back at them in a few seconds- mins. The ones on foot tho.. don't really move so as soon as i come back, they shoot, they get swarmed and die and im still moving..or getting a cheap easy kill on them thanks to the cops.

Β

Β

Β

Β

I call them locks.. And they only do that if you go slow and one of the cops behind you is close enough to become re-programmed to lock you.

Β

R* broke cops along time ago because players drive so fast.. They barely chase and when in a vehicle they always spawn in your line of sight. The faster you go the more they spawn..

Β

Slower you go. the less they spawn but the more they chase.. and if they chase one will get the 'lock on' speed cop car.

Β

Β

Β

And for people who hate cops.. If you drive while looking backwards and check your speed. You can keep the all the cops behind you.. and if you keep looking at them they won't respawn in front of you.. They just all nicely and gently follow you with one lock on cop. If you go fast.. the all just despawn after they pass you and respawn infront doing dive bombs.

How you can even get a one star wanted level for walking through an area they just killed a player while in passive mode.

Β

How to this day, you can get a wanted level while in a gang attack. Though that can benefit you if you have the same cover from the Police and the gang attack enemies. They will shoot at each other.

Β

The fact that there are Police chases and shootouts with NPC's in story mode, but not in online.

I've got no beef with the cops, the game is better for them. No opposition = no fun. For every "op" ability they have, I have an arsenal of weapons, phone contacts and a human brain to counter it with.

They give me a wanted level even if they shouldn't know I did anything (like blowing up a parked car in the middle of the desert,or stabbing a hiker in the forest)

They know exactly where I'm hiding, the exact alley behind the exact dumpster (and they don't find me by searching, they run from their car straight towards me like I have a tracker on me)

They give me two stars even if I'm not a threat to them (I miss the 3D wanted level system, where I'd get two stars only if I attacked and injured a cop)

They lie (saying stuff like "pull over" and "just give up",but if I stop the vehicle, they start shooting for no reason)

Their patrol car can catch up to a sports car,a super car or a sports bike, and when they bump into my car it's programmed to lose control and fly off the road even if it really shouldn't

They can make headshots with basic pistols at over 50 yards (but to be honest,so do all other NPCs)

They come after me if I start some trouble, but if some gangsters start shooting at me,cops are nowhere to be seen

And don't even get me started about the impound system,or the SWAT team members hanging from the side of their SUVs and blasting with automatic weapons,or getting a wanted level for just standing near an NPC in singleplayer

They are the ants at a picnic.

And the crabs in your pubes.

Β

Seriously they don't bother me. Simple to outrun. Funny how dumb the cop AI really is.
