Old timer coming back: how to make money?

I haven't played since heists and was wondering how to make money now.

I know that there are VIP missions or something like that, and I also know that there is this new CEO thing. Is any of these good enough for money grinding?

Or should I go to heists / contact missions?

I have a couple of old timer friends who are coming back with me, so please consider that we will be playing on group.

Thanks!

If you have 1 mil in bank do VIP work.. even solo ..Sightseer and Headhunter are great ways to make money.

If yo have enough for an office then CEO is even better allowing easier access to vehicles and snacks from your assistant.

Wait for a dupe glitch. In the meantime you could grind the PS Finale glitch. Other than that, 'honest' money is hard to come by.

Heists will always be a good bet - best thing is to grind the Pacific Standard finale as much as possible (get your character to the point where the finale is available, but don't actually do it - that way you'll see a lot more invitations from other players to join their finale mission)

Saying that, if you have a couple of million to invest them the CEO stuff is also good - I have made about 5 million since the DLC dropped by filling my warehouse and doing VIP headhunter in between most buying runs to pay for the purchases.

In terms of making quick money I always preferred the PS finale with friends.

The new CEO missions are fun and can make you money. Only thing is a lot of money is put into starting up and it will take a min to return on your investment.

Being an associate for an organization atm for consoles doesn't pay very well.

I have 2.4M ATM. Do you think that's enough for the CEO thing?

Could you please make a brief explanation on how this game mode works?

Thanks!

Enough to buy an entry level office and do the VIP missions/challenges. They are fun and pay as well as contact missions or better (with no load screens or matchmaking needed). CEO abilities and vehicle spawns are very handy so almost worth the cost of the office (all office upgrades are pretty much worthless, if money is an issue don't bother).

To get into dealing crates you need a warehouse to the tune of 2.5-3.5M range and you'll need another million to fill it with product. Then you'll need to hope that you don't have any bad luck in selling all your packages or you're out all your money and time invested in warehouse inventory.

Think of the whole crate thing as a worse paying contact mission that you have to pay to play. Something new to do, but not a great moneymaker when you factor in the risk and $$ per hour return.

2.4M is cutting it close but you can afford an office and at least one warehouse right away, you'll make it all back within a week if you play as CEO. I'd try being associate before investing into it, you may not even like the style of gameplay.

To start it up as CEO buy an office, go to the computer in the office and buy a warehouse (small, med, large). The cheapest office does the exact same as the most expensive ones, the only difference is the location.

Then you start to collect crates using the same office computer. Owning 2 warehouses of any size helps avoid the cool down after you deliver crates. You can also do VIP missions during the cooldown if you only have one warehouse, associates will get paid more that way too.

Hope that helps.

Heists are still the fastest way to make money though. CEO is just more content to enjoy.

Almost forgot... Welcome back :)

Heists are still the best way to make money, no doubt about it.

If you need a driver, call me. I work only for 5%. I'd do zero, but I still practice capitalism so nah.

If i was to be completely frank with you, I would say "dont come back". Go play something else.

Apart from that, wait for a dupe glitch or buy your way into unlocking the CEO mode and grind endless crates backward and forward to a warehouse that will also set you back 1Million. Give it a good 40 hours and you might start making profit on the next endless hours of crates ..backward and forward ;) in freeroam of course :) have fun!

heists is still the best for making money, but considered more boring then searching solo lobbies and doing freeroam activities in those that can be foiled by one bad player, that is not such an evil player since the game actualy tells people to foil other people their freeroam jobs.

Strongly suggest buying an office and two warehouses. One small warehouse and a middle one. That way you can get the rush from selling quite often and you don't need a lot of starting cash. CEO is quite diverse and doesn't feel like grinding to me. If they both are filled up you get around a million, investments not taken into account.

I would suggest to NOT invest in CEO, youre paying millions and public session trouble/risks plus payouts per min aint that great.

For a worry free grind I would recommend VIP work(you do need a buzzard) in an invite only session. Just do Headhunters, Sightseer and Headhunters again. (For headhunters start it in city so targets are closer and stop more often to lock missiles and hit). Each vip work takes 5mins and pays 20-23k solo. After first headhunters there is a 5min delay for sightseer, after sightseer there is a 3min delay orso till headhunters again. After that just do Editor n thief mission(spawns you in city) and repeat.

Also sell a blue or yellow sentinal each 48mins for 15-18k

If you do got 3 decent friends Pac stand heist is allways good.

u need a minimum of 1,250 000 $ for a blank office and the smallest cheapest warehouse (better go for a warehoue closer to your office.

each crate pick up will (over time) give u just as much money as a contact mission and u can get a crate every 5 or so minutes (2 warehouses) and thats only solo. with associates you can be much faster whilst having fun playing something not as repetitive as missions or heists.

if u want to grind it hard u would want a buzzard, 2 warehouses and a calm session. the sells are probably better done alone... but u should know whats coming and how to master them alone.

or go for not so large sales and do them in calm sessions. u might lose, but its a thrill everytime u bring home a crate

Like most people are saying the CEO work is a viable option but I'd recommend a combination of doing CEO work and heists. Having a full warehouse (or two) helps to know you have money coming and then doing VIP jobs as well as CEO and heists combined should keep you well beyond comfortable imo.

Basically being a CEO give you 24 hour access to all VIP work and then the added crate deliveries/sales. Since you have friends coming with, you are already in good shape to make a decent CEO group and grind crates.

The game is a lot different but don't let it overwhelm you and just try to have fun I guess.

Nothing beats grinding PacStan finales for money. For those times when you can't get a good heist crew together, the CEO stuff can pay pretty well. You might want to start small for now: Maze Bank West is the cheapest office. Get a small and/or medium warehouse. I'd recommend only one warehouse at your current financial state. Buy a crate or two at a time, then do a VIP job after each pickup/delivery to make good use of the cooldown time. The money from VIP is decent, and will offset the cost of your crates, even if you're buying 3 at a time. You'll sell a few full warehouses quickly enough to think about expanding. Having a good team working for you helps once you're trying to fill up 2 or more warehouses. Just send them out to build your stock and chill in the office. Enjoy some liquor, watch some TV, snort some Bolivian Dancing Powder. Unless they need some backup.

I've actually been thinking of coming back too! On PC though, at the end of this month, when my PC build is done. :O

What platform are you coming back on btw?

If you do Crate work, mix it up with VIP work to earn back money for the crates and to curb the grind. Suss out the lobby first to see if hostile or everyone just doing their own thing. If peace lobby, don't be afraid to do PvP VIP work (I have AFK Exec. Search and Piracy Prevention many times without interference) Sell warehouse only when by yourself as when it's all on the line, don't trust anyone regardless of how peaceful it was.

If your friends are competent, all 4 start Pac Stand and rotate the PS exploit between the 4 with 1 player(host) receiving 0% and split between others and repeat.

Last Team Standings pay well to if you have medium sized lobby. Quick action and don't have to wait long for lobbies to fill up. Win or lose, you still end up decent payout and it's much more fun.

Buy a sharkcard and rockstar will continue to get richer and continue to make free dlc...

Win win situation.

But all jokes aside Heist at number 1 and CEO mixed with VIP are the best ways to make cash IMO.

Do the CEO work, it's pretty fun and can mostly be done solo or as people suggested heists and vip work/missions

I just grind missions OP. Easiest way to play as no waiting in heist lobbies. Slower for making money but meh.

I always start with Trash Talk then go into autopilot grind mode for a while.

That's what I do when not doing CEO or VIP work.

Of course Op, if you get a good heist crew that loves grinding heists that's the best investment of time for the reward.
