Is the Insurance cap good?

I don't know if it was honestly a good idea that the max a person can pay for someone's Personal Vehicle is $20,000. I would think twice before attacking anyone's T20 or Osiris, but now that isn't the case. Then again, for those who like to put Sticky Bombs on their expensive cars(me lol) to make any person that shoots you for no reason end up emptying their wallets faster than they thought, it's quite disappointing.

So do you think this was a good idea or bad/not so good idea? Explain please.

It's a good idea for people who purposefully or accidentally wreck cars, because at most it's 20k and that's just one setup mission.

 

It's not a good idea for people who own cars that get blown up by others because 20k is just a setup mission.

I'm kind of split on this one. Part of me likes it as if I make a mistake and cause my car to go boom it isn't a great loss.

 

But it kind of annoys me that the max someone else pays is 20k.

I don't see it working well. I mean the car itself, stock, is worth 2.7 million.

 

I wish people felt regret blowing up my X80. But now they get a 20k bill and that's it.

Agreed 100%. The ultra high Insurance bill was actually my main reason to have the car lol

High insurance only ever stopped me from blowing up people not bothering me unless they turned out to be hostile. It never made me stop using proximity mines or vaporizing anyone who went near the VIP/CEO.

I think it's awesome, it now means that when menus come back, script kiddies can't attach insurance to a gold jet and cost someone 97k every 2 seconds.

I believe they've manually added insurance prices to all vehicles and made the max 20k instead of having insurance being based off of a percentage of the stock vehicles price (1.25%).

It should have been 30k cap.

At first I thought the T20 was on sale yet again after the update due to the 20k bill but now I'm just pissed. It was easy to bankrupt jet pussies with a 27.5 k bill.

Well, nowadays every free roam warrior is a CEO or associate 100% of the time, and vip/random events happen all the time, so this changes nuffin

Was not even aware there was a cap, guess it shows how often I blow up/loose a vehicle, any time I've done so recently

7,5k is a 2 minute contact mission, nickles and dimes. And even helps the offender to remove his/her bad sport points.

Im ok with this cap on fast cars since those can be abused...still...if they ever woud release an 8 mil+ slower sport classic, yea...id love that to have an insane insurance price

Good news is you can stay near MMI and keep getting your vehicles back without wasting your PV cool down. If you stay near the back of the building jets can barely hit you but with every pass they blow up more expensive PVs.

Yesterday I watched some dumbass in a jet blow up 3 Protos and a Zentorno all in one strafe, then he crashed and got killed repeatedly for a good 10 minutes. The insurance cost was the least of his worries but it was a nice bonus (even at $20k). Eventually our team drove away since he was man enough not to leave or go passive, just wanted to say I respect that. He learned good.

Just asking because it's pretty hard to avoid becoming dodgy these days. I'm really trying not to blow up PVs but it ain't easy. I avoid destroying expensive cars but seems like every day when I log off I'm more red than I was the day before, still white as a ghost when I sign back in so I'm not too worried, just wanna know for sure.

Just do a few jobs that will earn you some Job Points before you sign off or even when you get online, the Job Points will help offset the BS points you get..

I'm still on PS3 and usually spend most the time killing, lots of destroyed PVs and vote kicks so as soon as I see Dodgy I hop into some missions and races, clean again and no worries..

To be honest, 20k is still pretty high anyway. You can still fit that under a Cargobob, swipe 20k out of someone's pocket when they homing launcher you.
