Cargo missions trigger?

Is there a certain trigger to a cargo mission for example if I buy a 3 crate for weapons & ammo, jewelry, animal supplies, etc. how would I know if the mission is a crate mission or vehicle mission? Basically if I buy a 3 crate mission for weapons and ammo am I always guaranteed that it'll be a vehicle mission?

I'm not really sure, but I'd like to know myself too.

 

Not sure why you'd want it to be a crate mission though (unless you play with a group) - I want to know just because I'm sick of making the same journey 3 times to lug those crates back and forth. With a vehicle it's much less hassle.

seems completely random to me and I've done almost 250 missions

They could at least let us stuff the crates in the back of a Buzzard or something. Would be much less tedious if we could move them in one go.
