Glitched "empty" garage space.

Somehow my game glitched and I now have a garage spot that is 100% useless. I own three (can buy two more if needed) 10-car garages but can only own 29 cars. I've read that an old glitch of putting cars on the bike rack can cause this, but I've never done that glitch (didn't even know it was a thing until trying to solve this).

 

If I try to buy a car from online and place it in the empty spot it says "NOT SOLD, Purchase Canceled, Please buy something.

 

If I try to drive a stolen car in from the street, it asks me to replace a car in my garage (like when the garage is full). If I select "okay" and then select the "empty" slot, the game glitches out. It loads me in the garage but with zero cars. I can't move or do anything and can only quit or join a new session. In the new session the slot is still empty and the new car is lost.

 

The few things I've tried:

 

Sold some of my cars and swapped a 10 car garage for a 6 car. I was able to own 26 cars no problem without a glitched "empty" slot. When I sold the 6 car garage and rebought a 10 car, the glitch reappeared, just wasted time and money.

 

Filled all 9 bike slots up with purchased BMX bikes, then blew them up. Then replaced those with 9 stolen bikes off the street. Then I blew up the 9 bikes with grenades. Same problem as before, just wasted time and money. (This was a fix for the cars on bike rack glitch I think).

This is a very complex bug to fix and having experienced it myself I can say there is a fix, basically you have already tried it but I'm not sure why

it didn't work for you so here is my suggestion.

 

You don't say which slot is affected but I'm guessing it must be Slot 7, 8, 9 or 10 since a 6 car garage was fine.

 

These steps worked for me but it is time consuming but should not incur much expense (a few grenades)

1. Fill up all 9 bike slots with street bikes at every garage.

2. Take out every Street Bike from the bike Rack. One by one start destroying the street bikes.

The empty car slot should now accessible and can be used normally again.

I suspect the reason it has not worked for you is because you only own 3 out of 5 properties, you might have to purchase the

other two property slots for the fix to work.
