It's about the shark card sales, of course. Not only that, but they're aren't releasing all of the cars at once. Their marketing strategy seems to be working.

Take off the f*cking tin foil hat, they don't control how excited people are for a car. They didn't even build excitement really, they just dropped it randomly, you're saying you're being forced to buy the car because other people are happy and talking about it.

I couldn't possibly care less about how many or what sorts of new cars they release. Granted, there are some I would prefer to see over others, but new content is certainly better than no content.

 

However, what grinds my gears is how so many of these new cars are entirely over-powered in comparison to the rest of the cars in the respective class. I used to enjoy racing in this game, but sadly, that is no longer the case. Racing just downright pisses me off these days. We tested the new super car against both the T20 and Osiris last night, and the new car was going anywhere from two to three seconds faster per lap. It ended up clocking in at seven seconds faster than the Osiris when it was all said and done.

Ferrari had nothing to do with the F80. It was an independent design study by a guy named Adriano Raeli. He just put a Ferrari badge on his rendering and said "Ferrari might replace the LaFerrari with something outrageous like this."

I couldn't possibly care less about how many or what sorts of new cars they release. Granted, there are some I would prefer to see over others, but new content is certainly better than no content.

Before the X80 Proto was released, I thought the Zentorno was the pinacle of ugly automobiles. Boy was I wrong. I will state right now that X80 is far uglier than the Zentorno, and boy is that an achievement. The FMJ is another vehicle that came close to being a tad more hideous than the Zentorno, but fail to do so. Regardless, I still find that thing to be hideous. So to answer the OP's original question, yes I do believe these vehicles are becoming more hideous. That being said, I'll take a Premier over the X80 any day.

As much as I respect and follow Broughy's work, I was quite surprised when I saw the results firsthand. Only time will tell and much of it will depend on the skill of the racer and the layout of the track, but it definitely seems over-powered to some degree. I do agree about the handling though; it's much harder to control than both the T20 and Osiris, but I only tested it personally in free roam.

 

So many other classes have been ruined though--Sports Classics, Sedans, SUVs? (the new armoured variant of the XLS seems heaps faster than the previously established Huntley S), and Muscle (to a quite significant degree with the Sabre Turbo custom).

 

In a perfect world, all of the cars in a respective class would at least be competitive with one another and have their strengths and weaknesses, but even Broughy himself (in another video) went on about how R* always releases the class killer or fastest car last in a series in order to obtain more shark card sales. That much is quite true, I'm afraid.

 

Of course, racing in this game is still flawed beyond the point of comprehension. I mean, they haven't patched (and refuse to acknowledge the existence) of curb-boosting, and that's just well...ridiculous.

I like the way FMJ and Bestia look, personally. Reaper, I couldn't care less for.

 

The Proto ain't a beauty, but it looks striking and unique - like a concept car should. IDK, might even get one to turn into an F1-like racer, since nothing else in the game fits that. 2.7M is a stretch, though, so I'm definitely waiting for the rest of the cars before I decide.

Unfortunately, this is 100% accurate. I get that GTA was never designated as a serious racing game, but their settings and choices make that all the more apparent.

The Reaper is for all intents and purposes insanely overpriced. We're talking about a Huracan being more expensive than an Aventador or even a Sesto Elemento.

 

At least the X80 had the excuse of being an (in-universe) ultra-rare concept car.
