Why do they spend time making adversary modes but the payouts sh*t so no one wants to play them

I will never understand why R* puts so much effort and resources into a game mode most people don't play and hate with a passion...

 

If Rockstar keep making adversary modes, it's because people enjoy and play them. Just because you and a hand full of people on this forum don't like them, that does not mean no-one likes them.

I don't understand the payouts, I got 75k when I was up against 3 people on my own. I won 4-0 and got 75k.

 

Then an hour later

Me and 4 other friends joined a random lobby, team balncing was on thank f*ck. so it was 5v5, we got 8k at the end..

I think it's one of the best Adversary Modes yet. It's fun and its definitely my favorite Adversary Mode so far. I think R* did a great job of it, I know there's few people that complain when these Adversary Modes keep coming out but I think they are a great additions to the game.

Gotta say, I've got a few epic kill/die scenarios in slow motion. I fire an RPG, guy snipes me and kills me. RPG hits him. Absolutely love it!

Absolutely love this gamemode, however my only problem is the payouts being based on how slow the game is, what a load of sh*t. If the game had better balancing I wouldn't mind but if I get put up against a sh*t team, I get jack sh*t for completing it too fast.

Played a round of this. Very fun. Made a lot of money too, but I suppose that it was in the 2x money playlist.

From a 4-1 I made 175k. We were playing to 40 kills and it mostly went to time (but we were up around 35+ by the end of each round).

 

The two other games I played were 2-0 games and I made 50k in each ; they were first to 25 which we comfortably reached.

 

So yeah about 275k and not 250k as I quickly excitedly typed earlier xD

One tip that I would have is to get all the pickups that you can. They'll either give your team an advantage or put the opposing team at a disadvantage briefly.

 

Secondly, I would say that when you're being debuffed (say, for instance, doped or flipped, just get in cover and wait until it's over. You don't really want to be fighting others in this state because they have an advantage over you.

 

Also, what I noticed people doing when someone became the beast was that they'd climb on something and go off and climb it if they were under threat from a melee attack. This is kind of clever as it makes it difficult for them to connect a hit. But obviously jumping up and down on something makes you vulnerable to gunfire from teammates.

 

Always check your back, people will and do spawn behind you.

 

Finally, it helped me to consistently check the top of the screen to see how long active powers were going to last. And, of course, if you're not the gung-ho type who rushes the enemy outright trying to kill them, pick out the areas where powers spawn and if you can't get them yourself, try and deny the enemy from getting to them.

I don't like this game mode. Because of all the non skill debuffs and that beast involved. I only did it for the rp and money. I play free aim on pc btw. I would stick to normal deathmatch, but that's not for the money or rp.

i was playing today, 3 vs 3 really nice, 4 rounds in we were tied 2/2 then while loading round 5, the game added 3 players that somehow were on queue to the opposing team, so it when from a balanced 3 vs 3 to 6 vs 3, it was not the massacre i expected but we still lose the match by 1 single kill!

Killing the beast is really easy to counter. Simply combat roll out of his first attack and go for a execution attack. Doing so will stun the beast for a good 5 seconds or less. It should be enough time to finish the job.

Yup, this is a very good way to take down the beast. Usually when I get it's health below half, I melee it to the ground again, drop a grenade and do a runner

The main problem with adversary modes is that each game mode doesn't have a separate matchmaking option. Some of them are really good, a few of them are alright and a few of them are sh*t and that annoys me because I have to be lucky to end up in power play, slasher, hunting pack etc. Hosting isn't even an option either, it takes way too long for people to join.

 

Anyway the gamemode is really fun and a nice twist on a deathmatch, my main tip is Sniper + Zoned = many kills.

I'm not going to play it because I don't want Rockstar to say that we are playing these adversary modes they keep adding that no one is asking for.
