Character Cohabitation (Both characters in one profile)

I thought this would be a more efficient way to choose a character. Maybe in some way cut out all of the loading and lobby hopping when changing characters. Most importantly maybe we could save our funds purchasing homes and cars if our characters lived together. Hell, I didn't have friend/crew cohabitation in mind but what could it hurt? There are 2 other bedrooms on the yacht anyway right?

Edit: Do you mean like, having both your characters in the same session, and one being AI controlled? Not sure if that would be possible, but it could be interesting. Kind of reminds me of some of the old Resident Evil setups with second characters and partners.

I don't really know what you mean exactly, but I think it'd kinda be cool if your secondary character was sometimes hanging out in your primary character's apartment.

Diana, Goldadder, you got it. Like going to your apt. house or office and having your second character watching tv, hitting the bong, or smashing until you require them for game play. I hate to say it but similar gameplay to the sims.

@Icantthink... Yes both characters would be in the session but for the sake of limiting over 30 a lobby, utilize only one character at a time. The second character would be roaming within the property much like your personal assistant until you switch of course.

Theres been games since the C64, early 80s that had multiple hot swappable characters, even works in gta story mode.

Oh yes please! It would be awesome to have both characters available in one go, and even better if they can share assets such as apartments, garages, vehicles and other things that are more **ahem** personal if wanted!

 

It would also be cool if they hanged out in different properties, just spawning in different places and what not, to make it more interesting. Good stuff.

Like having your second char hanging out at the bar or bathing in the jaccuzi on your yacht and stuff, sometimes watching tv smoking bong and just do random stuff around your house.

It would be like a friend just hanging out, and if we could switch like we switch characters in story mode it would be awesome.

Also having 10 garages, wooo I would love that.

 

I really like both my characters, they are sisters so it would make sense that they can access each others stuff.

 

they do share the same bank account after all.

driver

Pilot

Buzzard support

Interference for cops

Decoy on supply runs

Mule for collecting crates

There were a couple of glitches where you could swap cars between characters. Really useful!, should be a legit feature.

That's what I gathered too. Not sure that'd work for those of us with male/female characters, though. Vehicles/weapons, maybe, but not specific clothes/accessories. Those would still need to be purchased separately. Also, that'd screw family members on shared consoles. Myself, I'd rather have the double garage space that having two characters allows.

Don't confuse your own wants with that of R*'s. You don't need to buy anything twice. You also don't need to own everything with both characters. If you want it, that's your problem. Edited June 21, 2016 by gorskiegangsta

No need for shared assets. Your other character could hang out in your apartment, with interaction options. One of those options could be to switch to that character. You could then have the option of staying in the apt, or leaving.

My characters live in a abusive partnership.

The secondary works for the first one, but have gained enough assets to intimidate the first.

I like the idea of having your other character fighting alongside you as an NPC.

I think this is a really great idea, actually! I for one would love to have an alternate way to switch back and forth between characters. The way it's set up now is sh*tty sometimes. I'll be in a private lobby and want to switch characters but it'll put me in a public lobby when I do. So then I have to switch to single player just so I can select private lobby. Not very user friendly at all.

Having my secondary roam freeroam as npc...i love that...but realy...if i just coud use all garages with one character.. heh...i woud be in near heaven

Personaly woud suck for me at the moment..i bought a few doubles..then again...in return having interchangable garages... drool
