It's actually pretty weird that nowadays almost no one here gets that reference, probably. @OP: Maximum I see them doing, if at all, is pulling 60 FPS on the consoles. But since Oculus is planned for Xbox, that means it has to be at least as powerful as a GTX 970 so it is pretty good The half generation will be pretty powerful. However very unlikely developers will go back and update their games for it. Best that can be hoped for is GTA V getting a stable 30 FPS instead of the drops it gets when in stress. oCrapaCreeper Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) There's no doubt the newer consoles will be more powerful, possibly comparable to some higher end gaming PC's, but all it means is that devs will push the graphical quality, destroying the newly acquired high framerate from the new hardware until crappy 30 FPS is the standard again on consoles, now with some weird downscaled 4k. They wouldn't be bothered to put effort into making another re-release of the same game on consoles which doesn't have an astronomical amount of difference in terms of the specs as far as it goes in the current situation. That would also make them look desperate. They're just sitting and taking their rewards from the shark cards, line, sink, hook and bait. What they'll probably do is look into one of their new projects and see if they can take advantage of the new consoles with that, that way we would see them active once again with a new game or it could be another Red Dead or something along those lines. Either way, it's opened another door for them, it's almost as if the consoles are calling out to them.
