jordverhagen Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 (edited) just as the title says, the buildings and the road are sometimes very slow in loading..? bought a whole new laptop with 8GB of ram (just bought another 8gb RAM). cpu Quadcore A8-7410 2.20ghz (turbo go up to 2.60GHz) quad core. gpu AMD Radeon R5 1GB HDD 1TB 5400RPM ram 8gb (2x 4gb 1600mhz 12800) soon 12gb > 1x 4gb 1600mhz 12800 1x 8gb 1600mhz 12800. makes 12GB Also sometimes the game take up to 10minute to load when I enter story mode from the start screen( online mode will disconnect me if loading takes to long and send me back to story mode) how can this hardware sometimes load road and buildings slowly? sometimes nothing wrong? please help me im new in this forum i dont know how to post it then. And run it with admin premissions,in case if u got 2gpus(i bet u got) make sure that u running it with your main and high performance gpu. Anyway is ive heared disappearing buildings is from ram. Also in rare cases using a lot of tracks in uaer tracks would cause this problem. its just on random spots in the map. if i drive in my car at high speed the game have to load hard..... and then the buildings and way will dissapear sometimes. wednesday my 8GB additional RAM will be deliverd here, may this fix the problem? Lowering graphic setting would help i guess tried NORMAL and 800*600 still same problem. now at 1600*900 same fps performance but still the same issues with buildings and road.. i will post wednesday an update how it perform with the new additional 8GB RAM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can tell because I kept my Steam library on a drive with similar RTM. Actually, even older drives still have a pretty decent random access speed. You can benchmark that with Parkdale. Also, check out the very educational from that page, and then compare your results by google or whatever. So, ten minutes loading time is insane. My first thought was that your HD is probably heavily fragmented. I prefer Diskeeper Pro but maybe take a look at Defraggler. It's a tat slower but it's free and very efficient. So... You can count me in I have a Dual Core G2010 @ 2.8 Ghz GT 730 and I can run on 30-40 fps on 720p and low-medium settings.
