Pets in GTA Online?

same here. if someone kill my dog then i will do anything to make his life in that session complete hell. pets should passive forever otherwise we are better with no pets in online.

GTA needs a wildlife update. Adding all the animals to the game. It shouldn't be able to lag anyone out unless you have crappy internet, No to pets but a wildlife update would be pretty awesome to see.

We can all say it's due to networking and the way the servers work but ehh .. there's another reason: Rockstar's laziness, pretty sure they will find a way to implement it in the current game if they see a money making opportunity in that side.

If you'd get pets, why only dogs? The dogs in story mode are annoying and I love driving over the poodles.
I'd love to get a cat in my office and apartment though.

New content is cool if it's not just a reskin of a past update *Bikers & Gunrunning*. An actual new wave of missions characters pets/animals/hunting system would be neat to see if done right and not just a reskin of the current game mechanics we already have.

People are quick to sh*t on ideas. lol I agree it would probably be too problematic to make them available to take outside. I dont see the problem with them being just an additonal way to customize your apt tho so I voted yes. We can change the color of our furniture. Why not be able to add a pet to the scenery? Dogs, cats, birds in a cage or even a tank with fish or snakes in it.

 

If we could take them outside tho then they probably should be unkillable as well as not be able to attack players. They could make it exactly like Franklin and Chop as far as they ride with you, follow you around and possibly even play fetch. If you get killed they are taken to a animal shelter and you have to go get them like you do your cars from the impound. It could work but unfortunatelythere isnt enough of a enough demand for R* to take time to do it.

If your dog could attack it would be considered a weapon and you cant use weapons in passive so sorry no trolling for you. Also, none of your personals (homes, cars, weapons, etc) follow your character to director mode so the dog wouldnt be available either.

Could even create a mission out of it by collecting stray dogs around Los Santos that are creating havoc around the city where you guys go in to clean up but you end up taking them in as your own.

I'd be down with that. I could only see them being locked inside apartments though. You'd also have to pay a hourly $1000 "pet food" tax as well.

On a side note it would also be cool (nightmarish) if there were police dogs that chase you down... Actually scrap that.

This has been asked for since 2013-14 and it hasn't happened and I doubt it will.
