So, I know that GTA Online doesn't have animals due to data problems but what if GTA Online had pets?

 

My preferability would have to only have dogs, and those dogs can be your "bodyguard." The dogs would cost around $10,000 to $100,000 depending on which dog you want, and it's this expensive because we all know how easy it is to make money in GTA. Of course I wouldn't want to replace dogs like you replace your personal vehicle, but pay a fee to get your dog back from the vet, in a manner in which you get "wasted" and pay $5000 worth hospital bills.

 

That's only how I prefer pets, Rockstar can do it in their own way or just reject it completely.

 

Dogs may seem useless, as they are easy to kill and they only bite, but they would give a nice touch to apartments and have your own NPC playmate besides strippers you invite to your apartment.

 

They also have a good use, if you're looking for dropped items, e.g. the knife you find in the mineshaft.

 

That would give a use to the iFruit app avaliable to iOS, Android and Windows phones and tablets.

Two people can share a bed, but we cant wear 90% of clothes under an overcoat and there is a huge crew emblem bug that gives all published emblems a white square background!...

Agreed. Many other issues to fix than focusing on pets. Plus, this iteration of GTA Online is on its way out. This won't contribute to their shark card sales. Probably/maybe/hopefully on the next one, perhaps?

Knowing Rockstar, each pet would cost a minimum of 500K and you can't even take them outside, they'll be stuck as props in your apartment just to look pretty.

 

Also, the last thing I need is to pick up a virtual cat's droppings from the litter box, I already have that kind of punishment in my life with two cats, so no thank you.

Nah, I'd rather get more content than them trying to half-ass "fixing" stuff.

 

Sure, I can't wear watches with fitted suit pants, but honestly the watches don't even work anyway.

But this would be the very last thing I'd want in GTAOnline... if anything, just give us the sea life online. I don't see the harm in having sharks/whales/stingrays out int he ocean to explore.

What could you do with them? The concept of using a pet [dog] to attack NPCs or other players sounds interesting, but I'm already imagining those glitches and mods for a guy to have infinite dogs attacking you. Playing with it like you can do in SP when playing as Franklin would be kinda useless and not really what I expect from this game...

 

At very least, if this came as a DLC I'd expect wild animals to finally come to Online (as well as hunting) and I think that would be the real deal, I don't really see a point on this pets idea.

I have a pet.

 

She's obsessed with snacks, never cleans up after herself, thinks the world revolves around her and is constantly licking my ass. She can even use a computer and phone. I really wish I could have her put down.

Maybe I just assume everyone watches TPB and doesn't take "bud" negatively but my bad, and to the OP for wasting space as well!

I'd love it, but I'm sure it presents certain programming problems and that's why we haven't gotten them by now. Maybe in GTA VI Online. :lol:
