What I like is that each city has its own atmosphere, for example when I'm in San Fierro, I always have that feeling of being far away from LS, with the people having a different mentality from other cities, same thing for LC, LV, VC etc... While today it doesn't really hold up to the very high standard Rockstar continue to set, it was the first city in a video game where at times I could forget I wasn't walking around a real city. Sure, that illusion has been completely shattered now, but at the time, it just absolutely blew me away. VC was a poor city by comparison, there's barely anything to it. SA's three cities all had their charms but the whole map felt disjointed and awkward to me. A fine achievement for its time, of course, but just never felt as real as LC in III. Shy Star Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) My favorite city of the 3D Era for me is Vice City from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. What makes Vice City for me are the intricate structures, the bright and sunny weather of the city, and of course, the 1980s feel to it. For me, driving my Sentinel through Starfish Island while listening to Broken Wings brings some good vibes to this city.
