Definitely. Make it so small arms fire causes less damage (Heavy Sniper & Mini-gun should still be effective but other small arms shouldn't do any damage unless you hit a critical area).

The Savage should be damaged after taking a hit from the Homing Launcher but shouldn't go down in one hit (it should start smoking after one hit & would eventually crash). At least it gives the pilot/crew a chance to get out.

The Savage should be buffed if and only if R* reworks military vehicle cooldowns and costs.

 

Otherwise, you pay $200 for a flying vehicle with strong attack capabilities and terrible defense but that can be replaced every 2 minutes. That's fine. Don't get me wrong, it's still a little imbalanced relative to standard vehicles, but people don't see that because things like the Buzzard, Hydra and Insurgent mask it - all of them are way too effective for cost and cooldown.

I think that the Savage doesn't need a buff. Its the vehicle with the most powerful weapons in the game, which thing gets worse if we think is really easy to aim with its cannons compared to other aircrafts, like jets and buzzards, and the fact the cannons are explosive makes it even worser.Fotunately, its lack of armor makes it for its firepower.

If the armor ever gets buffed, lowranks wouldn't have a chance against it, mainly because they haven't probably bought an expensive homing launcher yet and the normal weapons they are equipped with wouldn't defend them against Savages.

The Savage is fine now, hope Rockstar never buffs it.

And pegasus system is also fine, we have too many bullsh*t cooldowns in the game, let's not introduce a cooldown to the only system that allows us to use the expensive military vehicles we bought whenever we want, we have even have to pay a fee for the vehicles to be delivered.

Even if you don't place your shots well (like the guy in that video did), you can get a Savage to start smoking easily:

 

 

 

(Before anyone asks, that spot of wiggling I did was only in response to the wiggling those other guys were doing. Fight fire with fire, etc.)

 

Smoking leads to it falling out of the sky a minute or two later.

It has a tiny range on its weapons (which can't even pivot/be aimed properly), it is a huge target, it is slow to respond and sluggish, it has no flares, terrible chances of dodging homing missiles (from the homing launcher), and paper thin armour.

 

It should have this one strength then, surely? And since the Hind (real Savage) is nicknamed the flying tank, well it seems like an appropriate strength for it to have.

So then nerf jets as well because low ranks don't have HL or sniper rifles.

 

 

Also, why the hell should a low level player be on par with a military gunship? That's not balance, that's unreasonable. If you admit that a low level player can deal with a Savage in it's current state, then you're pretty much admitting that it sucks. A buffed Savage would still not be close to be as unstoppable as a jet

of course it needs a buff, and if we ignore that the homing launcher exists, the biggest enemies to the Savage happen to be mere lamp posts and enemy AI with uzis, they can make it smoke in literally seconds.

 

It's also based on the Hind, that thing took barrages of bullets and rains of stinger missiles during the Afghan wars and it shruged all of that hell off, it's a massive joke at this point.

It's slow so there's no need for the sh*t armor. You can get away and into cover fast enough unlike against a jet.

You must be playing a different game if you think that the HL is expensive and new players don't have access to it and the other weapons too. Thats what... a few contact missions?

 

Your newbie angle does not fly straight Gordoof. Its pretty much the dumbest defense i've ever read..

 

If R* started to balance the game around newbies then im pretty sure the most OP vehicle in the game (Fighter Jets) would get nerfed to the ground since newbies don't have the proper weapons to deal with that vehicle. Is that your logic.. or does your logic only apply to the Savage because you got chewed up in the "Buff the Savage" topic and felt the need to make this topic out of spite?
