Why Do Most of the Cars on GTA Have the Same Interior?

This game has pushed open world to the brink of destiny. But why the hell do most cars have the same interior? It's nice to see Vapid and Bravado use the same interior designer.

Are R* too lazy to bring out new interiors? The Crew (mind you, it's a sh*t game) can do it and DriveClub (also sh*t) can. Why can't Rockstar?!

I blame Felicity...

Why do all dlc and all bikes in this game lack damage deformation? Why can't we have decent driving physics?

Because R*.

Because nobody pays particularly close attention to the interior of the car. What you and other players will see is the outside, so there's no point in wasting time modelling a slightly different interior for each vehicle.

Almost every car had unique interiors in last gen.

Then they made a handful of interiors and recycled them into most vehicle classes, which is just lazy in my opinion.

Imagine if you could make sure this kind of thing never happens again:

-snip-

Wouldn't that be a better use of their time?

this is not how we disconnect tho, you back up into the clouds before that message appears....it looks like its edited together to try and make a point..

You're joking right lol? You're actually accusing me of editing together a video just to pretend I got disconnected?

What can I say? That's not edited. I probably still have the original video (with sound), if you really need proof lol.

To OP its not laziness, those games you mentioned are strictly driving games, games dedicated to only driving...of course they would have all interiors....this game is massive, ive noticed similar ads and shop layouts here and there....the game is still designed very well and has lots of attention to detail...of course some things will be pasted and re skinned...there is not a single game in this world where that does not occur.

This fan base is so harsh over the smallest things....its not like they are ALL the same, remember gta is an exaggerated condensed version of real life as a crime simulator, a lot of us drive cars that other people own...my sister and ex had the same car, with the same interiors, its happens....you just notice these things more cos it is in a smaller condensed environment....

surely this cannot bug you this much..what are you looking at the dashboard or the road? besides choose are car from benny's and you can do it up a little if you care that much

It never takes me to the clouds first. Any time I get kicked offline it just pops up with that screen out of nowhere. Def not edited to make a point.

I was not joking, I was speaking from MY experience.....I did say "It looks like..." I never stated it as a fact..........if I was wrong I have no problem in admitting that...

It bugs me when you cannot see the dials because the steering wheel blocks them; this happens a lot more than you'd think because of the "one size fits all" dashboards.

Forza Motorsport, Project Gotham Racing (3 & 4) and TDU2 had working and functional interiors for vehicles and bikes alike yet R* always makes recycled interiors for vehicles because they don't know how to make proper, unique interiors. They've earned billions yet can't make proper and unique interiors at all.

Because it's not focused solely on cars. It's a sandbox game that had to do a lot of things well. Gran Turismo doesn't even model unique interiors for all it's cars. If you want a game with OMGREALISTIC interiors, Forza's got a little something for you:

They haven't even considered letting us color our interiors until they released lowriders, and even then the only non-lowriders that have the ability to get custom colored interiors are the VIP DLC vehicles which are just simple re-colors of the leather seats.

Is it really that hard to allow us to change the color of our interiors?

It bugs the player who really enjoys driving and try to immerse them selves in the GTA world, however the dashboard view is just really letting us down,

the unfitting steering wheels, the dails was blocked, most interiors were recycled etc...

I will drive in first person whenever I am in a private session, and only drive a few exceptional cars with acceptable interiors

e.g. T20, Infernus, Comet, Roosevelt, Hotknife, Cheetah

Muscle cars are okay-ish due to the wheels not blocking the dails but recycled like a hundred times....

If this was only a racing game (open world) focused on cars/vehicles you would see every vehicle with a unique sound and interior. But seeing as this game has a very wide focus, and you need a dynamic open world with people, weapons and a plethora of features that haven't allowed R* yet to make details as millimetric and specific.

Don't get me wrong, I'm merely assuming this is the reason, and I would too like to see unique interiors for each vehicle. I believe this would be an improvement they would implement in their next instalment of Grand Theft Auto, and definitely think is doable.

They able to make different interiors for each car on last gen, I did take a lot of pictures of them before Nov 2014 the current gen comes out, but it turns out to be a big disappointment.

I just cannot see how difficult it is to make different interiors for each cars in this game. I don't have a high hope for the next one seeing the "Remastered" version unable to deliver a good first person experience they claimed.

I hate the people on these forums sometimes.

This may be the most technologically advanced game ever made, and you all whine about the SMALLEST things.

Would you rather have low resolution, PS1 graphics interiors, or recycled interiors?

It's not small when they advertise the current gen with the "Best first person experience"(Sort of) and they fail to deliver on something you will definitely notice when you play first person view.

Ah...old gen...how i miss the infernus red interior :(

Id love some interiors to be upgraded...especialy on the gran tourer sport cars, sport classics and supers.

Imagen the zentorno having the interior of a sesto elemento and the osiris the interior of a pagani huayra...woud be awsome

"Players visiting Los Santos and Blaine County on PS4 and Xbox One will experience the all-new First Person Mode, support for up to 30-players in GTA Online, as well as a vast range of major visual and technical upgrades including new weapons, vehicles and activities, wildlife, denser traffic, enhanced damage and weather effects, a tremendous soundtrack update with over 100 additional new songs and much more."

"The big new feature for the new-generation consoles is the optional first-person mode. It’s a whole new way of experiencing Grand Theft Auto like we never have before. Rockstar has gone out of its way to make sure everything looks great when viewing it through your characters’ eyes instead of over their shoulders, and the controls work pretty much the way you expect them to in a first-person shooter. An impressive amount of control configuration options let you tailor it to your liking, and you can even set it to automatically switch from first to third person when you enter cover or get into a car. "This isn't because of some grand moral awakening on my part, but an interesting side effect of what is the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of GTA V's most compelling new feature: first-person mode. Even when GTA games were top-down shooters, there was always something of a disconnect between the sometimes shockingly violent scenes on-screen, and the mentality of the player. You could imagine that, despite directly controlling a character, it was this virtual caricature of a criminal committing the crimes--you merely played witness to them. First-person mode fundamentally changes how you view GTA V's world. It has the power to make you stop and think about your actions, and to deeply question a character's motivations. And in a series that has long been criticized for glorifying a life of crime, rather than questioning it, this is no bad thing."

Edit: Is it THE first-person experience? I think they think it is. I think so too before all of us find they just reuse interiors of one of the focus in the Grand Theft AUTO game, which is the cars, vehicle and transportation in the game. They made so many changes however unable to make different interiors for cars, sounds about right.

Why are some shrubs solid, while others can be driven through? Why do masks work in Online but not single player? Why doesn't R* put DLC vehicles in single player? These questions, along with the main one will never be answered because R* believes inconsistencies is what makes the game feel new, since you have to adjust between different options without warning. Oh, you just drove through this bush in Burton, well that bush isn't this bush in front of Tinsel Towers, because you ran into it and died while getting chased by the police. Honestly it's pure laziness.

Reviews aren't written by Rockstar or Rockstar North, and what has a video showing off First Person got to do with anything? And stating It's a new way of playing GTA Isn't saying it's THE definitive FP experience.

You haven't been playing much racing games, have you? Even some racing games have freeroam like in GTA.

And did I also mention that Driver: San Francisco is basically like GTA with working vehicle interiors, each that are different and unique and not recycled? Just without bikes, helicopters, planes and boats, but you get the idea.

They did it to save time and MONEY for the earlier cars. Besides, do we even give two poops about interior of most cars we won't drive? However, some of the super, sports, and other cars we care about have somewhat different interiors. The differences may be more than others. With the Benny's garage and all that, you can change more interiors of lowriders and (newly added) Sabre Turbo and Sultan.
