Cargo sale vehichle activation

Hi

 

So what happened was I saw a CEO in an odd place on the map near me, it's a place you would only go if you have a tugboat waiting for you. So I decided to go there and hopefully blow up the boat and cruise off with the money. However I threw 25 stickies, atleast 10 grenades and launched more than 20 locked-on missiles with my launcher but the boat was still standing strong. At first I thought it must be a bug or something but then I realized that I never let the guy get in the boat. He rage quitted and a couple of explosions later the boat sank, without me getting paid ofcourse, waste of 30k worth of ammo.

 

So can you only destroy similar vehichles after they got behind the wheel?

PS. I know there will be people hating on me for trying to destroy someone else's cargo but let's stick to the question

It's his task to destroy the ship then salvage the crates, you have to wait for him to destroy it, then destroy the crates.

 

Also good job spending 30k in hopes of getting 2k.

 

Coincidentally I had someone at the boat I had to destroy today but he flew off once I got there.

It's a tugboat so he is SELLING cargo, he has to get the tugboat to another ship out at sea and leave it there. What you're talking about it the collecting mission, this is NOT that.

I could've made way more than 2k if there were a lot of crates present...

I don't think that's how it works. You'd have got $2K, unless I'm wrong.

 

At any rate, not sure if this is a bug. Can't say it's one that upsets me much if it is.

As far as I know, you'd have got $2K. Then again, I don't really destroy people's cargo much, so I'm not best qualified to say.

 

Either way, who cares if it's a bug? Move on to better ways of making money then.

Yeah it's my first time on this forum and I was having problems with the quote window, as you see my first reply to the other guy was inside a quote window

But that was meant to targeted at the other guy...

 

Also just to be clear, I don't go about all day destroying people's cargo but he had a similar color to a CEO that destroyed my cargo (you know how those 2 blue shades are so similar)

So I was seeking to avenge that lost cargo

Well to tell the truth, the update's quite new, so there probably aren't that many people who know all the ins and outs of its mechanics. I'm guessing you can't destroy the vehicles until they get in them. That's a complete guess though, and I have no idea if it's true or not.

 

Either way, there are much better ways of making money, if that's what you're interested in. Selling crates yourself pays better. If that's not an option, missions, heists, or VIP work all pay better than destroying people's crates.

 

(I'm not just saying that because people don't like their crates being destroyed; it honestly doesn't pay very well).

 

Edit: Oh, I've just seen it was a revenge thing. If someone destroys your crate, then I don't see why you shouldn't destroy theirs lol. It doesn't pay well, but revenge doesn't come cheap.

You still would have got sh*t money destroying crates he was selling. Yeah it probably is similar to what I said, in that he needs to trigger the mission by getting in the tug before stuff can happen.
