Could Self Radio come to consoles in the near future?

Imagine getting in a random or your friend's car and hear him listen to "Friday" or "Baby"..

my ears hurt already

You'd listen to your own Self Radio music. Or nothing instead, if you don't have any song.

 

At least this is how it works on pc.

I was about to ask how that worked on PC. Sounds like a nice idea, hopefully it gets added on consoles at some point or in a future instalment

I've noticed that when someone shares a song in game it shows up on SocialClub with a Spotify link. An option to sign into Spotify within GTA would seem plausible; even if were just a playlist or two.

It's already here, just mute the music and use the Spotify app like a few others have said.

So for the non-Forza Horzion fans in the room, Horzion 3 was Announced at E3 and one of the new radio stations uses MS OneDrive to stearm your own music playlists in-game. However this brought with it the question, can Self radio work on consoles using OneDrive for Xbox and what ever Sony's version is? Could we see Self Radio on console now, or is R* going to continue to throw out their lame ass "console limitions" excuse dispite a clear way to make it work?

 

Edit: Stay on topic, this is not to discuss how "you could just use *put music app here*" this is to discuss Self Radio having a chance to come to console.

 

No. Games have had personal music built in on consoles for a while now. Horizon 3 is not any indication that GTAV is getting custom music just like Burnout Paradise was not an indication that GTAIV was getting custom music.

 

 

Give up. PS4/XboxOne will never get self radio.

No lowriders in single player, other players can't hear your personal soundtrack (they hear a randomly chosen radio station built into the game instead), chop is not online only in single player.

I would LOVE to have this feature on ps4. It would just add another layer of enjoyment to gameplay. I don't think it will happen though.

 

Its not a Sony issue, as I have other games (MLB 16 The Show is one example) that allow you to import your personal music into the game.

 

I used to think maybe it was part of the agreement between Rockstar and the artists/labels whose music is heard in-game. But the self radio station on pc version kinda blows that theory out of the water.

 

Here's hoping GTA 6 includes this feature.

Well Windows universal apps are coming to xb1 which means I should be able to run Kodi windowed

I already use Spotify on my PS4, so this would be a bit redundant. Besides it's a bit too late for GTA 5's lifetime to add something like this, maybe GTA 6?

I just mute in game music and use the Spotify app on my PS4.

I may have the PC versions olely for Self Radio, but for it to not be added for current-gen consoles proves how lazy R* is. They should be surprised how considerably easy there is to feature Self Radio for the Xbox One and the PS4, unlike its previous-gen consoles.
