Are Random Events Back?

I was recently doing some CEO work in a public session on my own. After finishing a Sightseer I noticed a red vehicle icon appear on my radar. It was the "destroy vehicle" random event which apparently disappeared after the freemode update. So my question is, has anyone else seen this or other related events that had disappeared?

 

This was on PS4.

People report them here, But never see them again. Its a bug.

Your console might had some connection problems and didn't download tunables.
Causing it to use default values from the game itself and not the server-side file in R* cloud.

This lead to have the random events spawning in your session as they are disabled from the server-side file to make a space for Freemode Events and VIP/CEO Work.

They never left. Its dependant on the number of people in a session And occur about every fifteen minutes wuth enough people in the session. It actually pays more than disturbing a CEO during ship and pickups but it's been a bit off in timing lately

Nah man they were definitely taken out. That 15 minute thing was a long time ago. They haven't started popping back up until recently.

I really miss armored trucks.

 

They were on PC for quite some time, but they often disappeared before it made a significant impact on anyone in the lobby.

 

 

Shame that tattoo is basically unobtainable now.

I tried to get the reward for driving around in it for 5 minutes before destroying. But yeah, I was half way up the map. Drove it as long as possible and the destroy car icon disappeared as I was driving it Oh well, maybe next time... If it shows up
