Thicc Romney
Which GTA Song(s) makes you look back and almost cry of memories? The type of song that makes you wish you could go back and relive it all as if you've never played it? For me it would have to be New York City, Always Wanting You,Horse With No Name, and White Wedding. All from San Andreas. They all just scream "nostalgia" to me. GTA-Biker
Many songs from VC (most from V-Rock, Flash FM, Emotion, Wave...) and SA (KDST, Radio X, RLS...) make me nostalgic. Racecarlock
V-Rock, all of it. But especially, lazlow's mega music marathon, the second part. Seriously, I didn't even know that madhouse and raining blood were even separate songs the first time I heard it. It was just the best music, especially if you get in a golf cart and then just go completely crazy in the entrance to the leaf links golf course, just running into walls and driving in circles. K-DST is definitely a close second, and if I were to choose any single song from any radio station, I really liked L7's Pretend We're Dead. Makes me wonder what sadsack they got for Los Santos Rock Radio, since every song there sounds like an old man reminiscing about his childhood in a wistful manner that totally goes against the violent and stupid fun that GTA stands for. gooeyhole
For GTA III, I'd say it's O Mio Babino Caro, it fits the crazy atmosphere well. Almost like how 50s music goes well with Fallout. Vice City, I'd say Ctocketts Theme. It's motivating. You can picture Tommy squeezed into a Camero on his way to save Lance or whatever. Even driving to pick up money from your business was dramatic because of it. San Andreas is a tougher one. Hood Took Me Under and Personal Jesus are what comes to mind for me. I like Tupacs I don't give a f*ck too, as it fits CJs willingness to do whatever no matter how dangerous it is. He doesn't give a f*ck. And it doesn't hurt that Tupac gives a few f*ck yous to the police. Liberty City Stories is easy for me. Beware. Big Pun spitting over such a menacing beat. It fits late 90s LC and the high body count Toni racks up in the game. . Vice City Stories has many I could pick but I'm going with In The Air Tonight. I love that song and hearing it as you watch the purple night sky with some orange hues fighting to stay alive, it makes you appreciate Vice City even more. With GTA IV, I think of Pruitt Igoe, it's so tense and fast it's exactly what life as a criminal immigrant in New York is lIke in music form. LC has this thing that makes you feel so small. In a way, you're no longer a big fish in a small pond, you're a medium sized fish in the Atlantic Ocean. TLAD is represented by Motley Crue's wild side. Because that's what it is. A deteour from Niko, who doesn't have to deal with the egos around him and works for himself to Johnny, who is part of something bigger, in a way. TBOGT in music form is Eric Prydz or whatever the f*cks track. Upbeat and expensive. CTW doesn't have a stand out track to me. Good soundtrack just doesn't hit you in any way, at least not for me. V has songs for each protagonist imo. Michael is a Big Log kinda guy. You can see Mikey hesdbutting the road to this song late at night. Feeling down again. Franklin...I think of Still Livin, as he's always that realist kinds guy who sees the bad for what it is and that's the sort of rapper Gibbs is. Trevor would be I ain't sure Hank done it this way, for his redneckery and unorthodox style of getting sh*t done. zanesix
Not exactly a song but I love the GTA 3 city ambience, it's oddly touching in a way and makes me think back to all of the countless hours I have played it with that track always in the background: Sometimes I even just listen to it as background noise when doing something I need to concentrate on. joyrider00
Any song on K-DST. Especially during the mission when you fly back from LC, the sun is setting down, lights of Las Venturas glowing in the distance, CJ having a talk with control tower and finally touching down on the air strip. Almost feels like coming home from a long trip. Maibatsu545

Femme Fatale
For me it's the entire LCHC playlist(TLaD rendition) and the Wham! song on Non Stop Pop FM...For the latter it's because I'm a huge fan of Wham!, simple as that...My mom owned a copy of Make It Big and loved the whole album, but ESW was my favorite song(yeah, I liked it more than Careless Whisper)...And as for the former, it's because I already knew all of the songs on the radio, except Jailbait which I'm pretty sure was made for the game...On the summer of 2005, I did A LOT of research on the internet about extreme metal after I instantly loved the genre after I listened to Embody the Invisible by In Flames...I only managed to buy two albums though, Deicide and Tomb of the Mutilated, which both have one song each on LCHC... LeakyLine
GTA III - GTA Vice City - 'There ain't no up north anymore. It's all down south now.' GTA San Andreas - Pure 1990s. Just cruise around San Fierro and take the sights in and you'll get it. GTA Liberty City Stories - 1990s New York is a beautiful theme. GTA Vice City Stories - Dunno why it fits so well, it just does. GTA IV - New York Casual. GTA IV: TLaD - Johnny Klebitz is a badass motherf*cker who takes no sh*t from anyone. GTA IV: TBoGT - The northeast of Manhattan. All the underground clubs, the whole night time fun scene couldn't have been captured any better. The heavy sh*t that goes on behind the office doors that the patrons never see. GTA V - No one should be nostalgic for this yet. JoeFury1997
Most of Vice city as it was my first GTA. Songs that stick out are Africa, Atomic, Sunglasses at night, Raining blood, Two minutes to midnight, God blessed video, Broken wings and the song that plays in the ocean view hotel I forgot the name. HoleInTheSky
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Free Bird". I was traversing the SA countryside when I first heard it, with that classic, orange sky burning on the horizon, making my first impressions of the song that more memorable. Each time I've listened to or heard it in public since, it's taken me right back to 2004 when life was simpler and the San Andreas region boasted a world of possibilities. Sounds cheesy, but it brings about the nostalgia more than any song. Edited June 22, 2016 by HoleInTheSky Thicc Romney and Lioshenka
donnits
This ^ Have to admit, it kinda chokes me up a bit hearing this song. There's also Pruit Igoe that gets me feeling some type of way. Arran B
This just instantly takes me back to the mid-00s when San Andreas first came out and me and my best mate at the time would spend all night playing it before having to go into primary school the next day (Oh, those were simpler days ) That's what I love about the GTA games, especially the ones that are set in the past. It allows older music to become a nostalgia piece for a new generation, and so on and so forth. Maibatsu545 and BS_BlackScout

JotaPDF20
All songs from GTA III's Flashback FM. I love Scarface and I'm still waiting for the third film. Laura Branigan's "Self Control" and Animotion's "Obsession" from Vice City. The entirety of GTA San Andreas' soundtrack, from Playback FM to K-Rose. Again, all songs from Liberty City Stories' Flashback FM. I'm not a disco fan, but I enjoyed Moroder's songs. Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" from Vice City Stories. All songs from JNR and The Journey from GTA IV, these make me relax. Plus, Hello's "New Yrok Groove" and Glukoza's "Schweine". Queen's "Radio Ga Ga" from GTA V. I've been a Queen fan for a long time and it was wonderful to hear it on Michael's trailer and on the game's radio stations. Guess I can't choose only one of them.
