IceDree Posted June 15, 2016 Share Posted June 15, 2016 They are trying to mimic different type of jets. The Shamal is suppose to be private jet owned by an airline company (FlyUS for example). Supposedly comes in 2 configurations. 1) a first-class-only airplane, that the have regular flight schedules & tickets just like the bigger jets, but it's all first class ... Some of them can be rented as well. 2) an all coach class that is used to fly routes that is not profitable to use bigger jets for... Or the areas they fly to can't handle bigger jets. The Luxor & Nimbus on the other hand mimic luxury private jets that's owned by wealthy people or private charter companies. Anyway, variety is good & I'm glad they added the Nimbus .... It's also pretty obvious that they've been added as their luxurious appearance is a means of spending money- but wait? Some people aren't going to have money, so what is a broke person in the world of GTA going to do? They will spend cash to buy shark cards; which in turn, will provide users with the means of purchasing such a vehicle. But why? Why would someone purchase a luxurious jet- as you've stated; we've had multiple iterations of the generic "luxurious/private jet". People will buy it because it gives them status; this makes them want to continue playing the game. But again- this is all pretty obvious, lol. More importantly, we need a Luxor Deluxe alternative that isn't painted in turd gold. The Swift Deluxe already has 3 non-turd gold alternatives (Yacht-color Swift Deluxe, SuperVolito, Volatus), while the Nimbus is the first for the Luxor Deluxe. Vestra was cute, Miljet is awesome, they should have stopped there. At best the Nimbus should've been a 4-seat Vestra derivative. And if they're gonna copy the Citation X it should be the fastest vehicle in the game, at least it would have something going for it. I'd like to see some turboprops...maybe something unusual like a mashup of the Piaggio P180 Avanti and the Beechcraft Starship. We're getting the Super Guppy next for 4 million dollar I would love that...or even just a conventional Stratocruiser. A CEO of a cartel isn't going to only have a Jet that can only go 2000 miles before refueling, and the Learjet the Shamal and Luxor are based on can only do that IRL. However the Citation Sovereign the Nimbus is based on can get 3800 miles before a refuel, easily a nonstop trip from LS to LC or Honolulu. They added the Nimbus for variety. Because a select few, like me, didn't really care for the design of the Luxor. I feel the Nimbus has a much smoother design and I do like flying it more. To be fair the Shamal and Luxor are the same exact things and the Miljet is a military jet. The Vestra is tiny. What's wrong with another proper private jet? I've never felt the need to whine about extra content unless Rockstar slacks on it, in this case they didn't. I don't see what else is needed. Imo it is variety.
