You can't pull anything off in there. I still enjoyed it a lot, liked being awesome at it, but still doubting about buying it or not. Fuzzknuckles Posted February 6, 2017 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Just picked this up over the weekend as it was cheap on the PSN. It's not bad, but it does get a bit boring quite quickly. There's far more focus on the wingsuit than I would have liked. The game seems to be at its best when you're just roving around on skis or snowboard without getting into any races. There's only a few actually still playing for high scores though, as it turned into a giant crap fest with people just spamming backflips near trees. There was a tournament last time and I ranked 64 out of all players without retrying the tournament (you can try it as many times as you want), the top 32 went on though so I guess I should've tried harder. If I recall, that was never allowed. It's certainly possible on PS4, I was playing with that last night and taking some shots. I can't see any reason why this wouldn't be possible on other platforms. I don't think it's too realistic at all, i reckon it's just the right balance of arcadey/realistic. I use wing suits, snowboards and the ski's, gliders are awful and so boring i can barely stick at a task for more than a couple minutes. Some things bug the sh*t out of me like having to go through small checkpoints during a race through dense forest at high speed, but yeah, good game i think.. luisniko Posted June 13, 2017 Share Posted June 13, 2017 I just bought this game from PSN sale few days ago. It's a nice, breaking away game filled with challenges. Still figuring out what makes my character crying when jumping and what makes them loses energy. The Y3TI ghost record trial so far I feel like it's the most bullsh*ttest part of the game. It's like a record done by complete luck of a random run. Anyway, new DLC is coming up soon and when I read around, people seems expecting a serious DLC after the first goofy DLC. The unclear standard in law of physics in this game infuriates me the most. For example, I could hit a rock in front of me while snowboarding and the character would defy gravity by standing horizontally on the rock. But next time I hit a rock, my character collapse. Jumping and landed nicely on the snow, yet the character screamed for the whole leap and trick. Yeti3 Ghost characters jump off cliffs in suicidal way and alive. I jumped off a set of small ramps and I collapse; lost all points. The worst part in all of this, I think, is the paragliding trials where the bronze-medal ghost looks like riding an invisible jet coaster, defying the game's paragliding physics rule that would boost my speed upwards when I'm near mountain or trees while trying to push my way against the whatever force that is. I've watched and practiced tips from YT and I wouldn't mind for more tips for the sports. Great game to break away from violence. A frustrating game for no-give-up guy like me. The sled, could've been great, give it some decent speed, put rockets on it for all I care and it would've been fun. Now? Nobody I know uses it for anything. There's models for a bob-sled track but the sled doesn't work in it and they never created a functional bob-sled track. Things like that are what ruin the game for me. It's why I'm going to wait for a decent discount on it, but I have to admit it looks like a game to just sit down and play for an hour or two.
