  1. 1. How do you generally deal with other CEOs in Freemode?

    • Peaceful - no need to fight, we're all just trying to make a dollar.

    • Cautious / Defensive - keep those hands where we can see them or there will be consequences.

I know it's not going to be across the board consistent, but I agree. This is probably the most peaceful I've seen it in a long time, but we're still in the holding hands phase. Give it another couple of weeks and we'll be f*cking.

I was thinking about the same thing. As soon as the novelty of CEO work pays off and people fall back on their tried and true methods of grinding, I'd wager that free roam will return to it's roots. When the CEO stuff stops mattering to them, it will cease to matter at all. :/

A new Poll, how many of you lied on this poll?

I don't lie. I very rarely kill anyone. Usually, when I kill someone, it's because a friend of mine thought it would be great to drag me into a deathmatch.

Anyone who knows me and has played with me can testify to that fact.

It's partly because I like to think there's a moral code, but also because as long as I maintain a no-kill stance, I can be as much of a sanctimonious moral prick as I want and you can't do anything about it.

Touche!

but, you know there is no moral code?...right?.....

I like to think there is one. Obviously I can't take the moral high ground and be a sanctimonious prick if I didn't assume at least THAT.

Prick rights removed.

I'm going to take the high road because I can't be bothered to argue with pathetic griefers.

I don't txt, but i just have a look. If kill feed is ablaze on my way to the office, i change session. It has been so quiet that there has been no reason to change sessions, an odd random asking for a beatdown.

I try to offer a truce which works sometimes but you always have more than one asshole who decides its fun getting 2,000 for destroying a crates lol

I leave other CEO'S alone and only attack when attacked

This is the main reason they need to increase the payouts. It's not that this stuff has to pay better than heists/missions/VIP work, but if it clearly pays WORSE than all of those, people are eventually going to stop doing it. And having people do this kind of work in free roam is beneficial in a meta-game sense. It organizes sessions and cuts down on overwhelming chaos and the ensuing bad vibes that result from it.

I let them know I wont attack and im here as a CEO trying to make money too. Most of the time they understand. If a troll pops up the rest of the lobby, assuming they are peaceful, would vote to kick em.

You play the PVP griefing side of the game. That's a segment of the GTA:O playerbase and does not represent the intentions of the community as a whole. This is why I lagswitch out from people like you. Start coming at my crates, you'll watch me split lobbies in 19 seconds flat. You won't get that chance to play "your" game. The smart CEO's conduct affairs away from PVP griefers.

We attack any and all other shipments and join in on any VIP work other organisations start, in-between doing our own.We expect them to do the same, we play the game.

Not me. I'm straight up and prefer it that way. Why assume people lie? Dishonesty and duplicity something you practice?

My mentality in online, I see you, that's cool. I may accidentally lock on you for a sec, but I usually hit square to take the homing off, and change my aim direction. This way you know I'm not gunnin for you purposely. However.. If you shoot first or come at me, you'll never deliver another crate in that lobby lol.

I definitely prefer to be peaceful, but I'm cautious. You leave me and my team alone, we won't run you out of the session.

I was in a session with my crew and a corporation of 3 dudes. I just got my Rumpo and was having fun in the desert when their protection buzzard saw me as a threat and blew my ass to bits. A few seconds later they started a pretty big sale, I think they said like 70 crates. I got my revenge destroying both of their Titans and buzzard and absolutely ruining these guys full day of work.

I'm a peaceful player for the most part, but if an organization attacks me I use the cheapest fastest way I can to ruin any buys or sales.

I was in a lobby today, going to get a crate, when a red-dot player shot me down. We traded a few kills and then we were separated by enough distance that I could get my helicopter and continue on to the crate. I had to fly back past him and he texted me "Don't wry bro. I don't attk plyrs wit cr8s"

Sure enough, he didn't. I texted back "That's honorable. Thanks"

I don't shoot on sight anymore because I've been seeing a lot less people attempting to kill when driving past, I stay ready to fire if I see them acting weird.

Although I will f*ck with others sometimes because some external (paranormal? extra-terrestrial?) force forces me to...

It's the reptilian within You.

Slightly off topic, but I wish everyone didn't have the same warehouse as me (cheap little $250K one).

Every time, people are all trying to deliver to the same place at once. No one wants to go near there, in case the other CEO destroys their crates. It's really awkward.

Think I'll have to get another warehouse soon.

I'm peaceful. There is no point to free roam since it's nothing more than wall to wall cheaters. I don't even play free roam because of all the cheating scum. It's not worth wasting my time. I just do heists and contact missions to hang out with my friends then go play a game that does suck.

I went out of my way today to try and let this dude know I was friendly, like beeping obscenely with my clown horn and keeping my distance. So I see he has associates running a delivery and I figured I'd escort them safely since it was a semi-full lobby and I had nothing better to do. His associates caught on but apparently big chief in charge didn't, he follows my car and gets out so I slow down thinking maybe he would like to get in to test my friendliness.

Mistake on my part, took a homing rocket right to the Reaper. So then I switched to troll mode, texted him saying that pretty much he should quit while he could or I'd make him then delivered on that promise :)

Maybe I went too far but honestly it's so draining when you try to be friendly in not so friendly game only to be scrubbed away by a homing missile noob doosh.

Moral of the story, be nice to other CEOs because thats the "gorram" standard!

I really don't get why everybody gets so butt hurt over this. It's like some people just want to get handed this money. If ur in a lobby expect people to try and stop you. Pablo Escobar el chapo made their money with enemies. Be big boys I'm sure u can too in gta

Just my personal opinion before you start writing angry stuff lol

You sound a little butt hurt for getting to close without communicating you would be an escort of help. Honestly friendly or not in the lobby, unless I know the kids, I don't let anyone come near my sales for any reason.. You never want to take any risk in loosing a sale... I would have blown your ass up too man.. You gotta think about all sides of the fence.. Yours, theirs, and the View above both. You can't say you wouldn't be hesitant if they flew up on you during a sale lol.

I used to be very peaceful, expecting that others would just not bother. I was a fool to expect anything other than constant killing and just being a complete dick. After my sale was blown up, i soon put the peaceful attitude away. I won't actively seek out others to kill, but if someone attempts anything then I will not hesitate to. I don't know what it is about this game especially, but sometimes it attracts really really annoying people.

I was hesitant, that's why I kept beeping. It isn't my fault dude and apparently yourself are too remedial to understand that if someone is consistently beeping and not shooting they're probably not a threat. Either way he got what he deserved, they always do...

I agree with the last commenter on your post, not that I play with others as I empty the lobby first, but I would of deemed you a threat as well, why the heck are you near his sh*t .. you basically a ticking time bomb which is exactly what happened. I think you got what you deserved and just a troll, other wise next time communicate vs beeping your horn like a 12 year old. No where do I buy that you are friendly just because you beeping your horn, you just a threat that needs to be eliminated.

You're right guys, I should be just as antisocial and untrusting as you guys when playing because that's what good little rage quitters do right?

-Read my entire post, he killed me once (with a homing missile while I was stationary) then quit after I continued to rub his face in his own mistake.

-Also, I will continue to beep as a sign of peace because for most of the players I've encountered online it was a common understanding.

Actually, as a day-1 player, I've observed repeated-beeping having mixed intentions (ranging from "come get in my car so I can blow it up and work on my Car Bomber award" to "I'm the official Uber driver of GTA, here to give you a free ride" to "I just really love the sound of my horn... now I'll kill you").

I've ignored some honkers only to have them start to follow me around because I can't read their damn minds (who knows if there's a language barrier as well). Those usually end in a warning shot or a full bloodbath

Personally, I almost always play with the sound off, so you'd just appear to be an AFK player to me.

That's fine, I would have given up and buggered off like I usually do if someone doesn't get it. It's the people that think they need to blow everything up that make me stick around and kill.

I dont say anything to anyone. I'll sit in my office and watch the feed to see how hostile the players are, while checking the map to see how many white dots there are as compared to associates/CEOs. If the room is mostly CEOs and there's not a lot of battles going on, I'll take the risk and buy some crates.

Ive been in lobbies with agreesivily hostile CEOs and neutral white dots before though so you really never know.

I just keep my finger on the trigger when we're in close proximity. I never shoot first.

BTW. I have started to have a better look at playerlist. Reported way more leet players and 8000's than in ages - and yesterday there was Oleg from here in a quiet lobby. First time I spotted a nick from here, felt like a really small (virtual) world.

Well you were in a supercar, had a clown horn, and were honking repeatedly. All those just mean troll. I would have killed you if you got close too.

I'm generally an incredibly violent person in GTAO, but I never go for those crates. I feel like a scumbag when I do. A couple thousand dollars isn't worth f*cking someone over.
