CEOs: When you see others in Session...

  1. 1. How do you generally deal with other CEOs in Freemode?

    • Peaceful - no need to fight, we're all just trying to make a dollar.
      144
    • Cautious / Defensive - keep those hands where we can see them or there will be consequences.
      188
    • Aggressive - It's WAR, baby! It's either them or me... and it ain't gonna be me.

Flew in my Hydra collectinf crates yesterday. 2 others were doing the same, everyone was cool to eachother and the ~10 city people were also cool with it.

PC is lovely since this update.

I don't think the issue is with other CEO's, it's all the poor sods who can't afford to be CEO's and low levels ..

That been said, I have a network cable right at my desk, anyone joins when I am doing crate runs, I disconnect for 10 seconds, eventually nobody joins my lobby except friends .. life is good.

Sold my 111 creates today solo and got a bonus of $230K for having another friend/ceo in the lobby I assume.

i started out in solo sessions to get some good dollars. Now that i know how it all works i like to look for fuller sessions to continue my vip work. its usually a god mixture of challenge and fun. If the sessions starts to be too deadly, i find a new one.

when i go against others i do it in an entertaining way and definitely not with a jet

For people who said to offer a peace offering..I really didn't think that would work (besides the language barrier) People are deadset on PVP in free-roam and I think it would be a waste of time.

It worked. Or at least this one group were cool, going to keep doing it.

I usually play in session with some friends, all in different organizations, and when we see somebody new we instantly try to kick them (unless they're very low level players): I'm sorry, I'm usually the live-and-let-live kind of player, but I've learned that most of GTA Online players are not trustworthy.

I've only ever attacked when attacked. The same applies for CEOs. If I pass by one and no bullets fly then all is good. If bullets do fly then buys become a bit more cautious and sells don't happen, crew also steps up and it's fire at will.

It will be interesting to see how the CEO update changes how players interact in the city. It could be more like real life where everyone has more to lose by fighting and more to gain by cooperation or at least not interfering with each other.

Now if the LSPD would learn to crack down harder on those who mess with other people's business, that would help a lot...

I've been about 60% on it. I was in a empty public lobby and two guys of the same crew came in, I msg'd them "peaceful?" and they kicked me. So, yes you can't win 'em all. I would rather GIVE someone that chance to have peace rather than assume they are out for blood.

That said, earlier tonight we had about 5 randoms drop in to a public lobby in quick succession with me and another. The second I saw any of them grab a chopper or head my way, I hit the lagswitch. Nineteen seconds later, problem solved and I went about my business!

Cheers.

Thanks for the PSA. ;) This is why extreme caution and empty lobbies with trusted associates are the only way to sell. You know the salt is bad when Blasterman4EVER is talking of being depressed and quitting the game due to randoms destroying his sales (200+ crates). Almost feel bad for the fuzzball.... Nahhhh.

<snip> Im usually friendly... until they sell & my a**hole shines thru.

I'm the most peacful player GTAonline ever known

I'd like to see your pvp stats. Lol.

I doubt pvp stats tell much of a true story, for example: i have a K/D of 7.1 but i barely kill anyone in freeroam, unless they have a bounty/are assholes/destroy someones crates,i doubt its easy to evade a jet flying at maximum velocity and as low as traffic lights....

I'm cautious. I've never messaged anyone, though the more I think about it, the more logical it seems. Just like pre-CEO free roam, I won't bother anyone that doesn't bother me. I've worked in the presence of dozens of CEO's, and have only been attacked by three. I've had to help defend friend's crates more than once, though.

Honestly, now that free roam has an actual purpose and/or function, it's not quite the purgatory it used to be. There are still plenty of assholes about, but most players are focused on running their businesses than wreaking havoc.

We attack any and all other shipments and join in on any VIP work other organisations start, in-between doing our own.We expect them to do the same, we play the game.

This is the first time since GTAO went live that I don't attack other players. Well, there were exceptions like someone on a BMX (usually), or people doing car meets (usually), but this whole CEO thing smacks of Rockstar *wanting* to cause waves, and that's not right. I *want* them to fix their f*cking broken arse game, but they won't so f*ck them if they think they can *make* me go after other players.

Besides, there's no real benefit from attacking players who are doing CEO work, unless you honestly do enjoy the thought that you may have purposely caused distress to another human. But, each to their own. If other people want to play that way then who am I to question them? But let's be clear that they are 100% c*nts, probably brought on by having a miserable life that they lie about to everyone, including themselves. Deep down they know the truth and that's all that matters.

i can be 3 choices but depends what i want on my " today's to do list " :

~ if i wanted to make a dollar , i gladly to accept the alliance and if necessary , i could just help others while maintaining my CEO status

~ if i want to satisfy my " insanity fetish " , of course , foiled delivery truck , cripple the plane and pirating the tug

~ if i caught a suspicious player , from spying to provoked , then i'll retaliate relentlessly and alliance pact that is invoked between me and other CEOs will be considered broken should they attack me , my associates and our belongings ( from personal vehicle to crates )

I'm not interested in chasing other organisations' crates. However, I do enjoy sniping players at their office entrance and blowing up their helis while I'm camped on my office roof.

Just like all the military ordinance and revamped free roam events. They've been trying to encourage pandemonium in free roam for some time. What's amusing, though, is that thanks to the CEO events, everyone in free roam has the same goal. Players seem to understand that working together (or at least not working against each other) is more beneficial/lucrative.

A new Poll, how many of you lied on this poll?

I don't lie. I very rarely kill anyone. Usually, when I kill someone, it's because a friend of mine thought it would be great to drag me into a deathmatch.

Anyone who knows me and has played with me can testify to that fact.

It's partly because I like to think there's a moral code, but also because as long as I maintain a no-kill stance, I can be as much of a sanctimonious moral prick as I want and you can't do anything about it.

Collect cargo in small or empty session, f*ck with people in a large session. Blow up crates and CEOs if given the opportunity.

I voted peaceful but you could also say cautious for me. Basically I avoid other CEOs doing crate buying or selling, and hope they'll avoid me. I don't message them but rely on an unspoken bond of non-interference, which I think the majority of CEOs are up for. If they do get too close to me though, I'll shoot first, ask questions later - and if they attack me outright, all bets are off until one of us leaves the lobby.

If they're doing VIP work though, I will mess with them sometimes. I don't worry about that because they don't have to pay to do it, and they still get paid a little something even if I screw up their job. The scale of how much you are messing with them financially is really different for crate jobs than it is for VIP work. For something like Hostile Takeover, they pay zero dollars to start it, then get $15,000 for completing, or something like $5000 (I forget what it is exactly) for failing. That's a -$10,000 swing. For a 3 crate buy that you destroy, they lose their $18,000 investment, and they lose a MINIMUM of $18,000 in profit when they would eventually sell; you're costing them no less than $36,000 by destroying those three crates, and that's a little too trolltastic even for me. If they're selling crates, you have to be a major-league asshat to stop them.

I know it's not going to be across the board consistent, but I agree. This is probably the most peaceful I've seen it in a long time, but we're still in the holding hands phase. Give it another couple of weeks and we'll be f*cking.
