Do Buy Missions stretch out into Blaine County?

I've done almost 60 collections so far, and most of them have been mainly in the City. There's a few that head out by the Dam. Just wondering if any of the Buy Missions go out towards Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay, or Grapeseed? I can see how those places could be a pain if doing it solo, and with a couple Jet Trolls in the lobby. But if the missions are just City Based, the whole CEO work is going to get pretty repetitive after awhile. From what I read, some of the Sell Missions go all over the map sometimes.

I've had a couple crate pick ups out there.

 

Once I had to shoot down a Savage, and the pilot and co-pilot parachuted out and landed just outside Sandy Shores and I had to go hunt them down to get their packages.

 

Another time I had to go collect some crates from a crashed plane that was in a field just outside the Prison.

 

Also when you go to sell all your stock, if you deliver via airdrops, you'll have some in the area.

All pickup missions are in the city, you're right, but some stretch out to the docks, the highway to Chumash and into the hills. You've got to make sure you shoot down helicopters fast and kill the thieves, etc, so that they don't run off all over the map.

 

Sale missions vary, but the longest are the plane drop-offs which stretch out over the map.

There are also the missions where either your secretary identifies vehicles used to steal your cargo and you need to check each one to see which has the cargo, or you need to track them down yourself individually with trackify. I've had those go as far north as Paleto Bay.

There are probably a couple reasons why they chose to keep them based around the city.

 

-To keep them in close proximity to all the warehouses, otherwise you probably wouldn't have enough time to collect and deliver three individual crates by yourself.

 

-To limit the distance you need to travel with potentially a whole lobby of jet griefers on your tail. Could you imagine taking a shipment from Paleto Bay all the way back down to the city in a hostile public lobby in those slow vehicles? You'd never make it.

I sure hope they'll expand on this update in the future, and give us warehouses up north as well. If you'd buy for those 'northern based' warehouses, the missions would trigger around that area as well.

That sounds like something Rockstar would love actually. Have everyone spend 18K only to see it all destroyed before getting half way back. Bank accounts getting drained, and more shark card sales.

I've had a couple where a crate suddenly turned into 2-3 crates around the map with all but one were decoys. Lots of flying to distant points in Grapeseed and Route 68, south of the military base, to discover it's the wrong van.

There's a trick for those buy missions:
Set the GPS in the Interaction Menu to "Special Cargo" and it will target only the correct van.

I've had a couple where a crate suddenly turned into 2-3 crates around the map with all but one were decoys. Lots of flying to distant points in Grapeseed and Route 68, south of the military base, to discover it's the wrong van.

 

There's a trick for those buy missions:

Set the GPS in the Interaction Menu to "Special Cargo" and it will target only the correct van.

I've had a "check each van" mission end up on route 68. Thankfully I saw a tip on here to set the GPS to special cargo in the interaction menu, saved me going through all of the others first.

Most are in the city but a few are just outside. Furthest I've been so far is the plane crash just north of Madrazo's farm. A friend got one in Paleto though.

 

Some of the chase vans can take you further though. I've landed in Paleto on a van chase before (my vehicle stopping skills had escaped me that time!).

 

Selling can take you into the desert though. But I've never been further north than grapeseed on those.

I had one where the initial pickup was supposed to be off the western highway, but then I got rerouted to Trackify. There was just one van and the bastard was apparently north of Zancudo before I even started looking for him. When I actually got ahead of him, he was almost in Paleto Bay. And when I blocked the road, the AI pulled a stunt I've never seen before - he did a quick U-turn well away from the roadblock and just started driving south. Pretty funny but that one buy ended up taking 15 minutes.
