GTA V and its 'offroad tires' What exactly were they thinking?

So as many people know/few care i guess, the offroad tires in this game look not just lame, they look as if they are designed by somebody who never has seen an offroad tire in his life. 'same goes for monster trucks having the weight of a Panto'

 

Example: There is only one offroad tire profile. This one:

Which looks mostly like:

 

 

No matter which rim you chose, all you will get in this game, is that stinking tire.

 

So Not anything that looks offroad worthy like:

What do you guys think about this improvised offroad tire profile?

I thought this was going to be a rant about the tyres_can_clip flag and racing but yeah, the treads are sh*t I can see what you mean.

I've thought the treads looked horrible for quite awhile. Really all of the tires have pretty sh*t tread patterns. The tires also don't seem to have enough sidewall/are not tall enough for either the muscle or the off-road category. It doesn't help that the custom tires are always smaller than the default tires as well. Makes it hard to fill up the wheel well nicely on a lot of the cars. The Surano especially has really horrible fender gap. It's what keeps me from owning one.

 

So yeah, the wheels all around are really kind of badly done. It's too bad there isn't a system for making them a custom size like there was in Midnight Club.

It being GTA doesn't isn't an excuse to screw things up big time. If Just cause can do it better and Saints row has been doing it better for a long time, then there simply is no excuse for this mess.

Exactly. It sucks the smallest rims are 17'' making cars quickly look like donks or are simply the wrong size in general. We need some 14 to 16 tires'' for some cars.

All the tires in the game are messed up, not just offroad.

 

Do I wish Rockstar would fix it? Yes. Is it a priority? Eh, not really. If they fix it they might as well add to the system and let us pick different custom tires, each with its pros/cons. Maybe in GTA 6.
