Assault smg or combat mg?

the problem in combat mg is the recoil.

unless you play free aim, it pretty much does nothing.

Combat MG > Anything else

Try blowing away a rolling idiot or oscillating marksman with free aim and you're hooked.

combat MG = a light and powerful machine gun holds most ammunition that dwarfed only a minigun . this LMG in addition has longer range than any assault rifles , enabling good firepower especially with upgrades , which having more than MG does making it more accurate

Assault SMG = two handed SMG , can't be fired in vehicle ? no wonder why they makes this SMG is perfect for urban combat : Light, compact and accurate . having option to attach a silencer , lets say MGs never able to make a good job in stealth

Assault SMG is good for close range PvE, but not much else. You do want to move up for headshots. I like it, but it really is underpowered for PvP. Players rarely get close enough to make it useful, as they're always run and hide snipers or minigunners or rocketeers.

Combat MG for just about anything, especially long distance PvE, as you want to lock on to a target that's 1000 ft away through 3 bushes and a car and hitting you with a pistol. PvP, you can free aim people at a distance - I've taken out many a wannabe sniper - good snipers you've got no chance. If you can't learn to handle the recoil, 1st person is worth trying, but then you probably can't handle learning 1st person. I have yet to try the rifles with drum mags, those might serve well now that they have higher capacity - this strategy is basically about free aim constant fire.

What is baffling is why these two weapons are in the same loadout segment. :dozing:
