My game keeps teasing me, If I spawn a session and straight to the office it's clean, but leave and enter again and it's back.

 

I've even got editor footage thats clean for a fraction of a second then it all pops in

Also, I just reached $25 million in total sales and there wasn't any change from $20 million.

 

That either means that $20 million total sales is the max for cash clutter OR the next stage of clutter requires a ridiculous jump in total sales, possibly $10 million or more.

 

I'll post another update once I reach $30 million.

Nice work, I restarted a new character after 12 mill, up to 8/9 mill now on new character so would be at about 20 million mark now if Id stayed on the first one. Be interesting to see what happens when you hit 30 million.

Just reached $31 million total sales.

 

 

 

 

No change in cash clutter from $20 million total sales. Uneventful.

 

I'm pretty confident that $20 million is the max for cash clutter since it's been over $10 million since I last saw an increase. I can't be 100% sure of course but until I see another picture or video of more clutter than I currently have I think I'm going to take an extended break from CEO work once I reach 1000 collections for the gold statue.

Whats the point of having the safe if cash is just going to be strewn about allover the floor anyways? Seriously, that would have been the perfect function for the safe, have a safe, or have money all over the place.

 

In a semi related case here, all the other cargo that gets thrown around the office should disappear and reappear depending on the items you hold in your warehouse, would be interesting to see the interior change after selling a full warehouse or buying more cargo.

It's annoying because I played with a CEO and his office looks exactly like the videos posted above. There were tons of money everywhere and I thought it was cool but after playing with him for awhile, I felt I had to get out of there. It's unsettling to the eye.

 

They should give us an option to have it clean or dirty but I think this is a way for players to showoff their wealth. From playing with players like him to going back to my own office feels like I am a noob or lazy.

 

I guess the money shows your accomplishments.

This cash is spread over both characters' offices, right? There's an insane amount all over my second character's office now, despite him only have a couple of sales from a small warehouse. Interesting to see how different furniture layouts affect the spread.

It changes in the preview if you change the interior, but comes back right away. Moving offices also moves the clutter too.

Having a second character and transferring all of your banked cash to them clears the office of money. It does mean you have nothing to spend, though.

 

I'm more bothered by the contraband in the office. I wanted to do more photoshoots with the office scene but now it's full of guns, animal products and diamonds cluttering up the place with no way to get rid of it. I thought clearing warehouses would help, but it makes no difference.

 

I don't think R* will add options to clean the office in future, not with how quickly so many people seem to be getting bored of CEO work after just a few weeks.

Alright. So we know that the money on the floor in the office is directly linked to your total warehouse sales. We also know that large purchases can affect the amount of money on the floor. But does anyone know in what way?

 

does any [large] purchase affect the cash clutter regardless, forcing you to make more sales in order to maintain your ostentatious display of virtual wealth?

 

For people that have seen cash go down, did your purchase take your account balance lower than your total warehouse sales amount?

 

I noticed that I had a substantial decrease in my piles of floor cash around the same time I bought the new cars.

I remembered reading this exact thread and blamed the expensive X80,811 and seven70 for the lost cash piles.

 

I believe this is incorrect though, I bought a large warehouse at that same time, I think thats why I lost floor money.

 

My theory is that the money piles are directly related to business profit alone:

 

(Business income)

- (Business expense)

-------------------------------

= Scrooge McDuck jr sized piles of cash (business' bottom line)

 

I think it could even possibly factor in expenses like:

-New warehouses

-Product purchases

-possibly also vehicles on the CEO list

-ceo abilities? Probably not... im pushing it

 

My guess is that it has to do with your business profit/loss alone.

 

 

 

Well I've bought and fully modified the $2.7 million X80 for both my characters and it made no difference to the piles of cash in my office. I've also had my warehouses empty and still had product everywhere. Seems like the mess is there to stay in my office.

It really does seem like a seperation of personal and profesional . . . Especially if our personal vehicle purchases dont affect the piles.

I always bank my cash (holdover instinct from the early days) so I don't ever have much on hand. The piles in my office are still at the $10M level

I think he means just your total cash (banked and un-banked).

 

When I had under $1M, most of the money everywhere was given. Now it's heaped all over the place again.

Yes, i meant bank and cash. What's odd is that you get a free fill up on the safe. The safe stacks will continue to grow until your bank account exceeds about $1.25mil. This 1.25mil, however, will not deduct from your floor piles.

I think it's a combination:

 

• The money you've earned from cargo sales determines how much the cash piles can grow.

 

• The money you have on hand determines how much there'll actually be.

So if you had hundreds of millions, but only 1 million made off cargo sales, the cash on the floor would be limited by that.

Yes. The piles are unlocked via completion of cargo sales. The last piles are unlocked at $20mil in sales. As in, you can start as a rich ceo but won't accumulate piles without sales. Also, piles disappear if you're money dwindles. That about wraps up the rules of "money in office".
