im currently sat at 270. im gonna keep selling until i get to 20 million sales for the maximum money piles. then im just gonna grind for the gold trophy doing 2k crate sources at a time.

If you're going for gold, I'd start 2k now. I ended up wishing I had, it's real slow 2k at a time.

but its for 1000 sourcing missions. the 2k ones are one crate at a time so its much faster than doing a source mission of 3 crates.

Erm, not sure what you mean. You will get 20 million money faster doing 3 crates a time. But it will delay getting the gold trophy as it takes (me) average 8 mins to steal 3 crates and 4 mins to steal 1 crate.

You can always blow up two crates. Yes, you are "losing" money. You are really breaking even. The van missions are the reason I just started blowing up 2 crates. You can always blow up just one and collect 2 to stay profitable. Driving a slow van from far away with one crate seemed like such a waste. You only need one crate out of 3 to get credit towards the trophy. The profit margin maybe higher, but profit was never my goal after I made my money back. I only wanted the trophy.

My 1000th pickup left me with 5 full warehouses. Waited until today to sell it with the 25% bonus, which got me $14.6 million and a very satisfying GIF:

 

 

Glad I did it, but I will never touch another crate again.

After almost 6 months of being stuck on 968. The 25% boost has given me an incentive to finally finish this.

Doing this with my main character now and finally got him up to 500 crates so far. In 5 weeks I will be up to 1000 crates.

I took a year and half break at 600, but recently decided to get back into finishing... at the right time too cause I got to sell a full warehouse for 500k extra due to forgetting to sell it for awhile. lmao

I'm nearing 800 now, and I fully expect to have it before March ends. Unless we get some good bonuses

I try to do 10 missions per day, 20 if I'm feeling like it. Not overdoing it too much, so I don't get tired.

I would have left it at 1,000 but the Assistant waited until I filled up the ENTIRE freaking last warehouse and sold it to tell me about a special item. And seeing how I won't want her harassing me like Ron does about TPI on a daily basis, I bought it and sold it.

 

Feels good to FINALLY be done!

Never again will I touch a crate! I'm done. Not even triple $ will bring me back, I'm out. Retired for good from this sh*t

Yeah, last week really helped with the discount and tax refund promise. Got over 100 out of the way, but the last 100 dragged on and on..... especially when the Assistant wasn't going "I got something that might interest you" from 890-1000

 

I'm glad I was able to get it done before the next update though, that was my goal and I knew if I/E or one of the two Heist modes got double for a week that wasn't gonna happen.

Now I can go fully focus on whatever the next update is.... unless the business is just pure sh*t outside of event weeks, like Smugglers is.

Yes, I completed 1000, sold my warehouses including 5 special items, only to get a call the next day for the sixth special item! I was not impressed. He called repeatedly for over a month before I gave in and did 1001. I also thought I'd never go back, but very occasionally I steal the odd one.

Ok. So this trophy is earned by buying special cargo. It starts off as an onyx black. The second trophy is Chrystal clear and the third is a bronzish. I unlocked the bronze at exactly 250 cargo pickups.

*note: buying three crates and successfully delivering them to your warehouse only counts as ONE successful pickup. If you buy three crates and one or two are destroyed, you'll still have a successful pickup just delivering one to the warehouse. The same applies to two crate purchase missions.

well, it took much longer than i thought it would.... took about a 4 month break from the game entirely late last summer into the fall, and tbh, i have been rotating pretty regular between gta, gran turismo sport and nfs payback since i returned to L.S. all the while going through the process of the plant i work in closing and then trying to learn a new job. anyway, it is finally done, i don't plan on stopping but i don't think i will hit 1500 or more like some of the folks in here, probably.....

When you start contact missions from office, the samples and cluttered money sometimes will glitch and vanish.

 

@StormerBoy, no lol, I've collected 2000 crates and made 105Mio with crates

^ I think after the trophy has been gotten, and with the variety of businesses, some being a bit tougher alone to manage too (NPC's). These crates became easier and more tolerable mixed in with other stronger elements of the game, at least, I feel for me these are a nice break to plod between other stuff. Plus, quite quick jobs often too (more so as I collect solo's, occasional doubles), and the money is great too, especially when you know how to sell full, alone.

 

1450 done now myself, and I once swore off these. Aiming for 1500 collected, 150 sales. Bit OCD, lol. But we'll see beyond that. I can't say I won't lol.
