Nice colour, I can't replicate it in game with that exact hex number and pearl. Pity, wanted it for my classic corvette.

Edit - Thank you for sharing!

Today marks 2 years since I signed up to GTAForums so I thought I'd make a colour to celebrate.

Panto_Driver 2 year anniversary red #2C0B0DAA Candy Red pearl

It's also a special year this year, as it has been 60 years since House of Kolor was founded. Next year's spring colours were revealed a couple of weeks ago so I thought I'd make those as well.

No problem. Thanks, made specifically for the car to use as phone background and for a friend of mine.

I know this is kinda off topic for the showroom, but I really need a proper step by step tutorial on this. I have done all the other instructions step by step and I am always stuck with this ugly bright red color when I go to LSC. I think I have done it right cause my crew color is transparent on social club but yet in game it is always the bright red color.

I want my cars to have nice colors too. :(

You need to darken your colors a lot to make them appear right in the game. For some reason the game makes the colors much brighter than they are.

Try darken a color 30% using this site: http://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp . Perhaps you need to darken it even more. It varies.

I was actually having issues with the desired hex color not showing up and the ugly red color showing up every time instead. I figured out now that I actually have to restart the whole game instead of just joining a new session. Sorry for me being an idiot. :p

Okay then. If you are on PS4 you can just go to singleplayer, cut the network connection in the menues for a moment, and then return to online again. You don't have to leave the game.

So for the last few weeks I have been testing new paints on and off and have now made my absolute final attempt at the color of the General Lee, Corvette Flame Red.

According to the restorers of the very first General Lee made the color was not actually the factory version of Corvette Flame Red, It's color was custom. The original factory color of the 1969 Dodge Charger used for LEE1 was Gold and when they painted the car they used a semi transparent lacquer version on Corvette Flame Red.

As a result the color of the first General Lee was unique so I did my best to replicate the base color and then applied L.S.C. Bronze as the pearl since this is the closest to the Gold factory color of the Charger.

General Lee LEE1 Corvette Flame Red / #8C2D00A / Bronze

This color and emblem can be found on my Corvette Flame Red Crew.

This is a nice color but I don't think the name suites it, most people would see this as Pink so maybe Pink Powder or Soft Pink would be a better name, not saying you have to, but it fits it a bit better in my opinion.

Gnocchi Flip Flops

I have no daytime pictures sorry. This color is very flexible meaning it changes depending on the conditions and as you can see it gets very dark when it's overcast. But in pure daylight it's as close as you're going to get to Blu Le Mans. It still may be a little dark but it has the same hue and pop as Lamborghini Blu Le Mans that I have yet to see from other hex codes. :)

Mine is mixed with Chocolate Brown pearl to fit my perception of Blu Le Mans but I'm pretty sure Ultra Blue pearl or just pure Blue pearl would fit the theme as well.

It's something that can be debated for sure, and I thought a lot about that before uploading it/naming it. However, after asking a couple of people in real life I decided that it was purple. If you look a the code and the darker versions of the color I do think my decision is valid:

2396C9A1-1F23-473C-932D-E04604870B8A_zps

But yes, I am aware that GTA makes funny things to colors - but now you know why I decided what I did.
