The police because they may have found out that he was responsible for the package he received/stole and the murders he was associated with. The Colombians because they may have found out that he was behind the war between the Colombians and the Yakuzas. This is all speculation but it makes sense for me, I can't imagine him being dead after the Decoy mission, he's too too smart for that to happen. SeroH Posted June 18, 2016 Share Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) My point of view about Donald's disappearence covers in several factors: Avery's stolen plans Panlantic association with Donald Fort Staunton Donald's debt with the Colombians Love Media vs. Panlantic Oriental Gentleman rescue Raising the real estate prices by a gang war The packages from the plane Stolen package by the Cartel The decoy Since 1998, the Cartel is associated with Panlantic (Avery Carrington business), after his death, Donald has his mentor plans (Panlantic wants to clear a small section of land in Fort Staunton, even Toni Cipriani destroyed the entire neighborhood), he gets rich instantly as he lived on Colombian's mansion, but Don doesn't give a part of the gains to the Cartel, as well he owes a lot of money to them, and he flew away on Avery's plane. 3 years later the Colombian Cartel takes hostage to the Ancient Oriental Gentleman, extorting funds from Donald's company: Love Media. As he tells to Claude to save him, then on "Waka Gashira Wipeout", after killing Kenji, real estate gives benefit to him. Later when you have to pick up some packages from a plane approaching to the Airport, I think those packages has something related with the FBI, but the real package was hidden on the Dodo and stolen by the Colombians after Donald paid the officials. After escorting the "package" and acting as a decoy to distract the police, The associate escaped, Donald leaves with all his fortune on another part of this world, as the Cartel were swindled again. Probably some unseen character because as far as I can remember, we don't see any lower Love media employees. The mystery surrounding Donald Love's disappearance is one of my favorite things from GTA III. In my mind, he got what he needed from the packages Claude collected and got the hell out before the Cartel/FBI/whoever got to him.
