You are all missing the entire point of the CEO/warehouse system

Actually, it was intended to be a moneymaker, for Rockstar that is. Not the player.

They sh*t out whatever is needed to make sure the drones buying shark cards. They dont actually want us making money, that would defeat the purpose of their Freemium model of gameplay. Problem is people eat it right up. The release a half assed update, and the fools stand around applauding.

By buying three cargo at a time and selling them at the 111 price point, it's worth $38k per buying mission. That's the best money you can make solo.

Not if it takes you an entire day or longer to do it. You are not accounting for time spent. If I can make $500 per minute doing X, then X is WAY better than doing CEO crates.

Even survivals require less time with one or two friends.

This is all beside the point, because this content is not meant to be your money grind.

Give it up dude, this entire game isn't meant to be PvP IMO. Key word there is IMO, it's a game, we can play it the way we want and so can you. There is no right way and wrong way to play freeroam.

Actually, running the contraband system in a non-public lobby IS a wrong way to play free roam, and that is why despite all the crying it will never happen. No one said free mode should be mandatory pvp. You can ALWAYS go to passive mode or a private lobby at ANY time you desire....but if you want to play CEO/VIP and run VIP work/challenges and participate in the contraband system of Los Santos....then you are fair game and become instant content for every one else in the lobby....how they choose to deal with you, attack you, ignore you, partner with you, is entirely up to them NOT you.

That is the reality of it. If you can't accept it, sorry. GTAO is in the best state it has ever been in today as the system stands right now and R* isn't stupid enough to change it. They have done a good job with this game since PS4 launch it has come a long way since the PS3 launch which was a train wreck for many months, additional content was always items....now we have competitive activities to do.

I can't get over the amount of butt hurt around here. This new vame mode is not for the people who can't afford it, it is for thise of us with millions just sitting in tbe bank to do something new and a little different. The bigvest thing that blows my mind is that so many folks still think tbey should be able to have/do everytbing in the game. Thst is not the intent, after 2.5 years there are many tbings i haven't bought (including a shark card) but i have 2 cbarecters with 5 full garages of my favorite cars and millions in the bank. The days of owning or collecting every tbing in a game are over, especially one that revolves around money, like real life, think about your purchases......

In short, my crew/friends and i are really enjoying this new content and are making money with it.

I actually agree with that : beeing CEO is not a big money maker .... but it could bring you a lot if you are lucky enough .

I´ve bought the cheapest office and the cheapest warehouse , alltogether for around 1.2 M$ . made 5 deliveries so far and I am at $1.2M earnings , profit should be around 1M .But I´ve spent around 6-7 Hours playing CEO . I think it´s ok ,but I´d rather replay the Heists to earn more money . Besides if someone destroys the delivery , then you earn NONE !

like i said , you need to be in a single lobby (and have a buzzard to pick up some crates) and to be lucky to start making money ...

It's not about luck so much as thought.... don't act blindly, try and judge the "temperment" of the lobby, is it a buy or sell or get the f out kinda lobby. If it doesn't "feel" good, don't risk it

you are fair game and become instant content for every one else in the lobby....how they choose to deal with you, attack you, ignore you, partner with you, or vote to kick trolls like you as soon as they show their face is entirely up to them NOT you.

Fixed this for you. Now run along and cry that all the easy kills have learned to circumvent "public" session requirements in order to enjoy this new content with their friends whatever way they see fit. If you're that worried about your KD there's still plenty of wall breeches.

IMO if R* can't reign in cheaters/modders (better still I'd like to see them enforce a minimum age requirement to play) I'll keep session hopping so that I can chose the level of mayhem in which I wish to operate.

It is a urban warfare game where advanced weapons were put in the game so we could kill each other.

That sounds like the back of the box description of Call of Duty. I find it odd that anybody can take such a narrow view of a game with so much content and opportunity to have fun in the sandbox alone or with friends.

Then again, if your idea of "fun" is a few people running around taking turns lobbing explosives at each other, no skin off my nose. Glad you feel you're getting your 70$ worth out of the game.

To be fair, I'm not too worried about the threat from other players. In fact, I've been working for a CEO in empty sessions and honestly it's getting pretty tiresome because it's literally just a constant game of fetch. I'm looking forward to the action of other players coming after me and the feeling of elation when I successfully defend what is mine.

My real concern is the disconnections. Have you suffered any loses due to being disconnected from a session during a job? If so, how often has this happened?

First, good luck with the "competition" with the rampant trolls and cheaters. It can turn from exhilarating and challenging to just utter crap in a jiffy. Then again, I suppose it all depends on your idea of having fun or "challenge".

Also if you're ONLY playing step 'n fetchit with packages you're missing half the new content. The challenges and new VIP work is also worth playing around with. Headhunter is great and "salvage" is surprisingly entertaining (finally using under-water for some activities). The one where you loot ATMs is good fun as well.

Lastly, I lagged out of a couple sessions last night while doing CEO work/challenge or package delivery and yeah, that's a total loss. I lagged out last week just as we were delivering my last truck trying to empty a nearly full warehouse and I didn't lose anything from that, but there have been reports of people selling then not getting paid from "unable to connect" issues and such (mind you, this may be lies either, but that's what some are claiming).

I'd say first and foremost, if you're not in a position to, say, buy the gold jet just for the sake of spending 10M in game, don't bother. If you've got money to burn, go for it but expect slow or no return (depending on your play style and level of risk you decide to assume). If you're that worried about disconnecting and losing a few million this might not be for you until all the bugs are ironed out or until you really have money to burn.

Having to play against opposition that may very well beat them is just too much for them to deal with.

Project much?

Why, otherwise, would you be upset with folks without the skill to "possibly be able to beat you" for not wishing to play against you? Have you also considered that plenty of people who do have the skill to beat you might just not be in the mood to be bothered?

Personally I can hold my own PvP, but me and you taking turns killing each other would bore me to tears in under 10 minutes. There's simply so much else for me to do in this game to be bothered with endless, repetitive, and entirely unproductive PvP warfare. I do own a few Call of Duty type games and if I wanted to sit down for 4 hours and do battle with some pre-teen or other try-hard, those do a far better job of creating an environment fit to enjoy that style game play.

I invested $15m to start, 3 warehouses, and am at 6m in income. It'll take 4-5 more weeks before I can really turn a profit but whatever. I'm happy it's a new game mode. They definitely screwed the pooch in a lot of ways though.

players attacking other players during sells would be excusable if destroying another organizations sales would bring up your percentages and rates since this is business based and you are competing but no all you get is a measley 2 grand which the game periodically gives you for free for not being a dick. if there was a stat in your portfolio for competitors assets destroyed, if it increased your pay rates and increased your sales profits then i'd be all for it I would be out there destroying crates too.

I love the Financial and Felony DLC, but playing it on a public lobby is a complete waste of time and money in most of the cases, and completely unfair. There should be a punishment for the people that destroy crates, because they ruins the game for many people that eventually, they will stop playing the game for this reason.

Maybe I wasn't clear on this, but that is my description of free mode. I do know that it is a sand box game, but generally the other activities take you out of free mode and into some other protected mode to play (like golf, missions, even heists).

The rest of your comments are conjecture based on this misconception. I would estimate that 85% of my time has been spent OUTSIDE of FM doing other activities. So I guess that means I have gotten my money's worth (at least 85% of it anyway) in your eyes!!

Our stupid ass crates cost us money and time.

You only get 2000$ and probably a report for griefing, what for? Fun?

If wasting people's time and money makes you "fun", then you have a very low level of empathy, a low IQ and probably, you have the Schadenfreude Syndrome too.

When I preordered I was promised a game that let me play GTA with my friends. So far, not only have they penalized my friends for working with me [associate pay rates], they have made me lose money thanks to random jackasses, and worst of all cut out sh*tload of actual content that was in GTAO freeroam after already excluding content from storymode. I miss robbing stores, taking down cargo planes, and robbing armored cars with a couple of friends. That's what this game was promised as before it even launched, yet here we are now where it's "EAT MODDER FAG! LULZNOCA$H4U" -Indirect R* quote

I think that the main thing that is making this update "unfair" is all the military equipment and vehicles. Including the buzzard. Imo it would be more fun if you can enter lobbies with these things disabled. What i also dislike about GTA in general is the partial free aim in free aim lobbies. Both these things make it to easy to kill and destroy each other.

What would be a great addition to the ceo warehouse missions is that other player could steal your cargo or destroy it.

The game is completely unbalanced between players right now.

Usually, the players that ruins the GTA O freemode are the ones above level 300, Rockstar should put players over level 300 in a lobby together so they can play with their jets and leave the other people progress in their games.

Also, stealing the boxes instead or destroying them could be ok.

Yep. I can't believe that there are still people that don't have money in this game after all this time. Granted, new people buy this game every day, so I can understand them. For folks like me that have been hustling since day one, if you don't have enough money banked to cover any update, you're doing something wrong. Yes, play the game however you want, but I do hate the complaining about all the new stuff being too expensive. Do the activities that pay, instead of wasting time in street fights that do nothing but cost money. At least do deathmatches if you want to fight, since you'll get paid enough to replace your spent ammo. There are plenty of jobs, races, bounties to hunt, and freeroam activities to do that will fill your bank accounts if you're smart, and patient. Or get with an active crew that knows what they're doing. String together some PacStan finales. :santa:

You have to be pretty dumb to still be doing buy/sell missions in a public lobby solo/with small org. If you want to actually profit off your sales guaranteed, you know what you gotta do. It's really not that hard to figure out :/

My low level IQ isn't throwing around insults because somebody feels different than I do, nor am I missing the point of the ceo work like so many of you are. Furthermore I'm not the guy that reports people for playing a game the way it was intended on being played. It's simple really if you don't like how it's set up don't play it. Go back to hiests. You know the risk when doing ceo work. If you don't want to risk your precious hiests dollars don't do them. And apparently I'm the one with a low IQ? Lmao good jabs bro

No mate, people refusing to play the mode correctly and kicking people out of their lobbies as soon as anyone joins is what ruins the purpose of the CEO mode. Luckily the kick function is being removed next update.

^^^ Yah its highly unlikely vote kicking will get removed.

I still dont understand the point or logic behind the new CEO system. And how bad sport fits in. Why am I a bad sport if I blow up a random car, and furthermore have to pay for it, but rewarded when I destroy a vehicle containing un-insured contraband or crates out in the open??

Why is blowing up a vehicle which by the way is completely insured and replaceable almost instantly somehow deserving of being sent to servers full of Bad sports?? Why is destroying crates something a Good sport would do when the consequences for the opposition is immeasurably worse than having their car blown up?? Its a laughable conundrum.

This makes so fvcking sense im not arguing either way but why the fvck would you create a system like this. Rockstar logic I know.

I think the only point to the CEO stuff is to add something new. It's kind of fun but I only really do it when it's only me and some friends in a session. The only real point to anything in the game is to give people fun things to do.

As others have said, its rather enjoyable grind. Sure the money may not be as good as going the same missions/heists over and over but its still good money.

I tend to mix up collecting crates with both vip missions and regular solo missions.

I may have only filled and sold two medium warehouses worth of stock and a single special delivery but its not getting boring or feeling tedious to do.

Can't wait to see where R* takes this. Would love to see our companies smuggling other stuff like cars for example (similiar to simions high priority but we steal and sell high end supercars instead of common street vehicles).

It's fun and after a week I finally made 1.3 million. One thing I noticed is that the ceo computer has a version number. Something tells me that they'll release some more content in the future that'll hopefully fix some of the issues.

I just filled my warehouses up in a empty session, 555 crates, it took me 3 days, and i earned over 11 mil selling them.

it cost 3.3 million to buy the goods and i earned 11 mil, so all in all i made 7.7 mil in 3 days, that roughly 2.6 mil a day.

They dont actually want us making money, that would defeat the purpose of their Freemium model of gameplay.

yeah, I certainly wouldn't call it freemium. Between the two versions of this game I bought, I spent $100. I guess you could say that micro transactions have helped keep this game current three years after release. They wouldn't be employing people to write updates without them.

I like this update 'cause people like staying in the lobby anyway.... why not make it more interesting? If anything, I hope this makes the next game stay in the lobby 100%. There's no point in exiting for a race or shootout or anything... it's all right there on the map.
