Please Help, can't change models position in 3d max?

Hi people, I was using 3d max to edit some models that was in wrong position in game, so I tried to use the rotate tool, but I had absolutely NO sucess, 'cause I did and then the model return to the same position, so I don't know what to do 'cause I looked for answers I did not find one. I thank so much if some person can help me!
