What's up with people being idle in the golf lobby?

After trying for about 5 minutes to play an actual round of golf today I noticed many people are being idle in the lobby, with rounds set to only the first hole.

 

I was wondering if anybody here could tell me why people are doing this.

Probably for the same reason people stay AFK during missions. Because they're lazy and don't wanna do any work, but want to get RP and money in return.

 

If it's not that, then I have no idea.

They're not starting the game though. It doesn't have a countdown clock, they just stay in there and do nothing

Oh, my mistake. I thought you meant that you were the host and they weren't taking the shots. Well, in that case, I really have no idea now.

Kind of along the same topic....ive found a strange glitch.

If u have golf hidden in the [select/hide options] menu, the game will glitch out when u try to start a golf game, wether you host or are in invited.

You teleport to the golf course, outside front door, where the marker would normally be. Your character then freezes. Theres no loading icon (waited 20 minutes or so). All u can do is move the camera slightly and access the pause menu (which is lucky as the only way out is to find another session or start a contact mission).

While u are stuck here it appears to other people, that you are in and out of the golf lobby, every couple of seconds. Eventually they start the game and now it will say u are spectating every now and then. Very strange indeed.

When they finish the game u will see them spawn right in front of you. But you are completly invisible to them. They can bump into you but cant hit you or do any damage with any weapons. With one exception, they can thow a molotov at you and you will catch fire...tho they can only see the fire and the shape of you while burning. Does no damage to you.

Crazy mental bug. With only one good use. Escaping a bounty.
