I have also encountered some level 8000's. They are sh*t at the game, they use hacks so much that they can barely play properly. That's also probably the reason why they started using hacks.

Basically, Rockstar Games have finally developed some proper anti-cheat, it seems, which either forces you to play on your own, even if other people have the exact same files as you, OR causes a ban after several hours (only in one unfortunate case).All menu developers are scratching their heads in an attempt to find a 'quick fix' for allowing people to play together with mods, so we ask everyone to keep all their fingers and toes crossed as tightly as possible, as hope can go a long way.Thanks for understanding.

They're officially back (PC). Just now I was playing on PC and decided to give my car a respray. After 5 minutes in the garage a modder spawns inside and tries to blow up my car!

 

Yesterday in the GTA in-game chat people mentioned that they'll start throwing money bags once this new mod hack is released in a couple of hours. It looks like they weren't joking. W/e R* did to prevent modders online in last week's update no longer works now. Going to be interesting to see what really happens with CEOs..

Then you've done nothing wrong. You didn't glitch or mod it's a mute subject. I got given 64million back in the early days on 360. I forget what one of the many money drops it was but I ended up with 64million when I went to log out. I emailed R* about it and am still awaiting to hear back. I've long spent it and have since gave them more money for a ps4 version. I still consider myself a clean player tho. I didn't do the dirty deed so I didn't worry. Hell R* didn't even worry. I'm on about if you do the crime and R* catch you it's a permanent ban. If your gifted something then it's a different topic.

We ran into a cheater the other day. This cheater had explosive minigun rounds and took out my hydra with a single shot. His K:D ratio was 6.8 and he was killing everyone without a problem. Thankfully I didn't see any sign of him spawning in things with a mod menu. Just looked like the cheats affected him and him alone.

 

 

Does anyone have any confirmed sightings of actual players using mod menus?

You can do that without any modding at all. I've done it plenty of times on PS4. It's not even a glitch - just some imagination and common sense (plus I read it on here )

R* is lazy and incompetent when it comes to dealing with hackers and cheaters alike (but mostly hackers). They're just paying more attention to money than hackers and cheaters.

That's ridiculously easy to fix. Either you're mistaken about how they permanently stop people from coming back, or they do something very different. Seriously - I could whip up an application to stop that happening in about 15 minutes.

They can't stop modding, it's not gonna happen, and just as quick as you can make up a program to stop them in 15mins, somebody will already be figuring a way around it. Nothing is flawless, there is ALWAYS a rabbit hole, they just have to find it. The smarter the defense gets, the smarter the modders get, and the better the mod menus get.

Yesterday someone blasted a rocket AT mehr while I was sitting in a "street" Ruiner. My car just flipped over, no damage at all. (No event or VIP mission took place)

 

Needless to say the witnesses called me a modder. I don't know what it was, but IT can happen

They can't stop modding, it's not gonna happen, and just as quick as you can make up a program to stop them in 15mins, somebody will already be figuring a way around it. Nothing is flawless, there is ALWAYS a rabbit hole, they just have to find it. The smarter the defense gets, the smarter the modders get, and the better the mod menus get.

I've noticed a lot of explosions not blowing me up right away lately. Though this generally only happens when I'm inside a special crate vehicle like the new rumpo van.

 

But it could also be caused by some Desync/lag between players.

If C* were to ban 70% of it's player base they could no longer claim that they are the greatest because they have X amount of people playing this turd of a game.

A switch that cuts the Internet and kicks you to SP, when you're stuck in the clouds or just one wire in the LAN cable, causing lobby to lag out and place you in your own public lobby.

Can be made with old light switch and cut orange wire in the cable, but i went this way.

 

I also can experiment what happens if i switch separate wires, too.

I may even save myself the skinny dipping talk with Lester, providing i get my money.

Players are doing this with cheat engine, and it can only affect them.

 

You don't have to worry about cash being spawned on you or getting strippers spawned in your garage.

Okay - he says he doesn't know how they've done it and suggests it may be something in the registry, which is different from you saying that's how they did it. Fair enough - it could be a large number of things, but there are very easy ways around all of them. You just need to prepare for them, which is difficult when you don't know exactly what methods they're using. It will be found out and people will "resolve the issue", I'm sure. If they're cheating then personally I don't care for them and hope they don't find a workaround, but they will.
