Selling Large Warehouse Solo!

How does that even work? Getting into a private-public lobby. Thought you could only do it in public lobbies?

Well I just wait until everyone inevitably lags out and the session splits. Happens all the time for me.

Actually setting it up to be private? I don't think you could do that. I guess you could use a lag switch though.

If you're on PC, there's a really easy way. Go to your firewall and create rules for inbound and outbound that block UDP port 6672. It'll completely block you from playing with other people. Perez84 posted this in another thread:

Works perfectly. You'll be solo in a public lobby. Just remember to turn the rules off when you wanna play with other people again.

For PS4, go into your network settings, set it up in Custom and when you get to the MTU settings, set it to 578. Finish the setup and start the game. You'll be in a "Public" lobby, but no one can join (even friends) and you won't get any player-generated invites.

Only try this for doing solo CEO work as it can start acting really wacky if you try to do anything outside of freeroam.

You can change the setting back to 1500 or a high number to stop being antisocial, but it will kick you to Story Mode in the process.

Yeah that will probably work. For me it's even simpler but you might get some people after a while. I just unplug the main cable from modem for 1 sec. Then it says unable to save and I'm all alone, after like 1min max it says saved succesfully and it that's it.

Anyway setting up your firewall way, does it completely prevent other people entering your session?

And can you invite friends in there?

It completely blocks other people. I've never had anyone join, even after being in a session for hours. It also cut down on the number of random invites I get.

I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure this method would prevent you from playing with friends.

It does.

Made two solo sales today, both out of my Medium warehouse.

- 35 regular crates, three Brickades, a couple of aimbot NPC cars to annoy on the first trip.

- 3 rare items, one Tugboat, ambush at the dock. Landed a Buzzard on the stern and on the trip it bounced enough to catch fire and explode but the Tug didn't take enough damage to start smoking or worse.

Didn't care for the 30-minute cooldown between selling

You said 3 rare items, did you sell them all on one run? If so, did their prices go up?

All in one run, but their prices don't appreciate with volume like the regular cargo. You don't have the option of selling less than all your rare items.

Hide, minigun, and watch: $370,000

Land and sea deliveries you can handle solo. Land ones are the easiest, worst case you get the generic 'enemies on your tail' scenario. Sea can be a little tedious; I had a Tug delivery where I had 3 waves of two Seasharks, then 3 waves of single Buzzards. I had to stop and shoot them down before continuing. The Buzzards don't seem to use missiles (at least not right away) so you are okay as long as you stop and take them out quickly.

The plane deliveries are the only risky ones solo. Sometimes nothing goes wrong. My large plane delivery history:

  • 1 Titan, 10 locations, no enemies.
  • 1 Titan, 10 locations, Valkyrie at 2nd location (landed and shot it), Buzzard at 3rd location (couldn't land, rammed it, caught fire, engines failed, managed to land broken plane but lost all cargo anyway).
  • 1 Titan, 10 locations, Buzzard at 3rd, 4th and 7th locations. Landed and shot the first two, last one I couldn't handle and bailed out.
I would recommend starting plane deliveries, but bailing (changing session) when things go irredeemably wrong.

If you change session when your Titan for instance catches fire, you'll be ok, and do not lose your cargo?

I think you take a percentage hit.

not what happened to me, i was on the plane and after 2-3 checkpoints, my internet failed. when i restarted the game i still had the warehouse full like i didnt even started any mission

I'm working my way up to filling my freshly bought large warehouse - got about $1,500,000 worth of goods at the moment. Fingers crossed I don't f*ck up the final thing, because I'll be left a bum otherwise.

One of my first selling jobs (which was under heavy attack from players) was interrupted by a full game crash.

When I reloaded it was all back in my warehouse.

Apparently the game can tell if your selling mission failed from connection vs. you taking acting to quit from it. If you quit, you lose 1-3 crates, if it's the connection's fault you lose nothing.

Well mine went well, thankfully:

I had to deliver 3 trucks, all to the same place. There were no enemies, and a $9k bonus for not damaging the trucks. Only got $7k (thanks a bunch, flaky traffic):

R9JMUp2.gif

But the $2.2M was very nice. Must've taken about 2 days to fill the warehouse too, so that's probably the biggest money I've earned in a long time.

Felon Forever

When I want to sell medium or large warehouses I switch session until I'm alone in a public lobby. Then I invite a friend as backup against hostile NPCs (mainly armed helis).

But so far the only NPC helis was 1 or 2 Buzzards on a tug delivery. All deliveries with the Titan where rather uneventful.

Sold 2 large warehouses yesterday. First delivery was the tugboat and the 2nd was 3 brickades that required me to use the trakify app for delivery.

No NPC enemies spawned during the deliveries except the enemies that hangout by the tugboat before you get in it to deliver.

Did it in solo session also. Got $4,400,000.

If you have to try to sell a warehouse solo, I suggest you try to stop being a loser and make some friends.

^I have friends with me for delivery just prefer to do the delivery in solo sessions. I just invite friends to my session once I get a solo lobby. Yesterday tho I did it by myself since it was 4am and my friends were sleeping at that point.

You shouldn't have to rely on always having friends on anyway.

It's a game - do we really have to try show off how social we are here? Why can't that be left for reality?

Not really directed at you UNRULYWOE; just the other guy.

Exactly. I have a friend that can still teleport, yet I did two sales this morning in my lock-out lobby. An associate would have only sped up one of the deliveries and a friend to help against hostile players is good, but 0% chance of hostile players can't be beat.

i have friends but why bother other people that are doing their thing, earning their money, when it can be done solo, it also feels more rewarding!

I have friends and I wouldn't trust them or anyone delivering 111 crates without a f*ckup, in a full lobby of jet griefers....Why can't people play how they want without being insulted by an elitist like yourself?

Just sold my large warehouse, got 3 cubans to deliver by myself, was a little concerned but it was fine, no attack heli's showed up .. I had to land at the landing strip and shoot the NPC's guarding the delivery point but the satellite dishes, other than that was straight forward, just landed in the field and delivered 3 plans, pretty much used up all my time 25 mins to go back and forth.

We Are Ninja

Delivered 111 crates last night. Three Brickades. Drove one out, drove PV back to pick up the next one. Did that two more times and figured I was done. Then three waves of two SUVs showed up and I had to "protect the shipment". The alleyway I did the deliveries in was a bit of a bottleneck, and I was able to withstand their ridiculous SecuroServ resilience and firepower without losing any of the shipment. Good times.

When does the Titan kick in? I assumed a full large warehouse would always end up in one, but a lot of people are reporting 3x Cuban missions. Another random selection?

maybe R* disabled that, i have read a lot of reports on the support site about people not being able to do the delivery because the titan spawned inside a wall and stuff like that.

Sold my medium warehouse in a public session with 25 other players (five CEO)... Made quite alot more money.. 918k vs the regular 735k... I'm gonna do this more, as I have my safety precaution ready should folks want to destroy my shipments... But this session was a dream... Folks passing by and minding their own business... Good stuff... I'm gonna sell my large warehouse same way, this sunday... Or have a few mates ready to CEO up and make me some more 'hazard'money....

Oh I had one of those for a medium size sale. Minigun made short work of them.

Just sold my second large shipment:

As you can see, it was a Titan. Just the one, and I had to drop 10 bits of cargo at different locations. No enemies, no height/altitude limit, all went smoothly.

Now I'm starting to make a little more money:

It's pictures like that that are going to make me afraid that I'll spawn in my office while a cop is sitting at my desk and shows me a warrant for my arrest.
