What's the benefit to destroying shipments/crates?

 

I destroyed a player's tug boat while he was doing a large $250,000 warehouse sale (which he got very angry about.. booo hoo), but it only gave me $2000. So why the hell did Rockstar even bother letting players intercept these transactions? It seems like the only benefit to stopping a sale is to be a dick. I only attacked thinking I would get 50% of the haul, but instead, got about as much as I would have gotten just robbing a liquor store.

All that the crate destroying feature has done is encourage griefing, really. $2,000 is essentially pennies in this game. Also, you're a bit of a dick for destroying that guy's cargo. Put yourself in his shoes. I doubt you'd react to it lightly.

Ok, well maybe if R* made it so a crate was worth the same amount in my warehouse than yours there would be a point to the felony side of the update apart from vandalism. Until then it's a griefers market and R* love it, they think every lost shipment could end in a shark card sale once we're all desparate to buy the new toys they release.

That said, I haven't destroyed a single shipment on purpose but I understand those that do... There's nothing else to do to crates except destroy them & the game rewards us for it but it doesn't allow us to profit from them in any other way. Griefers are flushing other players GTA$ down the drain for R*, that's how I see it. So it's up to R* to change, not griefers, griefers are being paid more than ever as legit players sink millions into sinking more millions down the drain... Unless they're smart.

Ill tell you why... Because revenge is sweet! I was in a pacifist session. 4 CEOs working in harmony with their associates moving product and getting paid. Then all of a sudden this one CEO decides to f*ck with me and destroyed my crate. I dont shoot unless shot at and with this update i dont destroy crates unless someone destroys mine. So i had it in my mind the next time this *ucker moves a crate i'd destroy it. Unfortunately for him his next job wasn't moving crates but doing a 2 plane delivery. I blew everything up. We had associates in buzzards from other organizations escorting CEOs from sandy shore back into the city. Thats how on point this session was. This guy messed up and i made sure he knew.

 

I wish i could say i felt sorry for him but the f*cker messed up the system. Dont disturb a pacifist session. More importantly dont deliver goods in the same session with a CEO you previously agitated. Me!

There's honestly no benefit. I join servers with either no players or a small amount of CEO's and we all text each other and agree that basically I won't shoot if you don't.

I firmly believe people who destroy others crate are jealous nunnypums or disgusting f*ckbois who need momentary satisfaction of ruining someones sh*t. Seriously, these people jack off at making CEO's lives an unnessacary hell. I blame R though. Do they seriously expect a tugboat or titan to outlast a fighter jet or attack choppers, meanwhile dealing with the fire frenzy ai? This game has almost turn into a greifer simulation. I mean R's inconsistency is extremely annoying sometimes. They'll give us Jets, Tanks and attack choppers yet if we use em too much we can get punished for it. Like seriously, why put it in the game in the first place. Don't get me wrong I love them sometimes but R seriously should consider prioritizing on fixing these problems. They may have had good intentions with this update but its seriously back firing. Sad thing is I'm usually defending R but not this time.

• Pay whatever the person is delivering, so if the player is delivering $2 million+ worth of goods the player who destroys that delivery should pay the full $2 million+.

GTA has always been freeroam. Free to do whatever you want, however you please. Rockstar also added a popup that tells you one of the things you can do is to destroy other peoples crates. People can do what they like, whether it be jet "griefing", tank "griefing", passive mode trolling, etc. If you don't like it, there are invite only lobbies, don't collect crates unless you have backup(which by the way; is the intended way to play the new update you god damn pussies), or go back to singleplayer and play with yourself.

Mad I'm guessing? I just did that once but then I realized it's not worth it so I stopped.. all you guys want is easy money, no challenges at all. It's freemode baby, not a f*cking playground, if someone wants to destroy your crate then what's the problem? Just step up your game

So using a fighter jet armed with explosive cannon and missiles to blow up a slow and essentially defenceless boat/truck/plane while its occupant is fending off hordes of aimbot NPCs is a challenge?

Also you get mugged nonstop.
