Osho
The map is indeed bigger. But LC itself is bigger than any city in SA, correct me if I'm wrong. FRANKLINCLINTON2
KODRB
The map is indeed bigger. But LC itself is bigger than any city in SA, correct me if I'm wrong. It probably feels bigger because all the tall buildings prevent you from seeing as far as you can in LS. FRANKLINCLINTON2

Osho
Oh yes, I forgot about that topic. IVs map ( esp. land area ) is soo small and it still falls far short to offer the amount of things to do than SA, gameplay-wise. JotaPDF20
In fact, many of GTA IV's activities weren't interesting. But I doubt the map size is the reason for it. RDR features as map that is as big as IV or even smaller, but it still offers many interesting side-missions. The only reason for GTA IV to lack interesting activities is that R* didn't want to add them. Well, TLAD and TBOGT are DLCs after all, so if you consider them, there are some funny activities to do. TBOGT featured many side-missions that are way more interesting than SA's activities to me. The Club Management, the Cage Fighting, the Drug Wars, and mainly the Triathlon. God, I just love the Triathlon. Plus, these expanded the storyline to a total of 140+ missions. Frankly, I've always ignored all of the side missions when I played GTA, I used to complete the storyline and look for another game afterwards. But the ones featured in TBOGT were so appealing that I changed my mind and went to achieve 100% completion. I'm now trying to achieve the same on the 3D era games, currently revisiting GTA III. Damn, it's better than I remember. Despite lacking some of the freedom seen in SA, IV is still an amazing game. By the way, yes, GTA V's map is bigger.
