Sonnу
Imagine a GTA with left-hand traffic, English football hooligans - "firms" instead of gangs and fist fighting/bottle throwing instead of already bored shootouts, classic English rock (The Beatles, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath etc.) and The Prodigy on radio, Kent Paul as one of the characters, completely new vehicles inspired by European ones like Volvo, Renault, Skoda, etc. I think it would be very cool... I mean, all those previous GTAs with pretty similar themes and gameplay, set in the SAME American cities over and over are starting to get bored. I think that it's time for something new. Cmon, Rockstar, you're BRITISH game developer! P.S. I haven't been playing GTA III for about 10 years I think, but I still remember this mission: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEFLmul5cow Fuzzknuckles
Femme Fatale
And I would really, really like next GTA to be set in Mexico, but we can't all get what we want, can we? Also, you want this thread... Edited June 12, 2016 by SprayPaintedCraniums Payne Killer and Nicki

TheHumanIsland
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TWOC The new series from Rockstar Games: Taking Without Owner's Consent. Yea, no. I mean, they did say that GTA is an American based game, and that goes in line with the fact that GTA is an american name for the crime.
Official General
Boring idea, not exciting or interesting at all, no thanks. GTA is best staying set in America. Maibatsu545, Son of Zeus and Uncle Vlad
Fuzzknuckles
SO many reasons why the UK would make a refreshing break but there's too many stubborn folks that are afraid of Rockstar changing anything and want the same boring experience over and over forever. Bring it on, Rockstar. London is the missing piece in the puzzle and would allow you to return to the three cities you've been stuck in for so long with fresh perspective. Son of Zeus
Boring idea, not exciting or interesting at all, no thanks. GTA is best staying set in America. This. As of now we need HD VC, then they can do the remaining SA cities. Plus they've already said GTA isn't going out of America. B Dawg
Kent Paul as one of the characters, That's a good one. Yeah, Kent Paul's meh. The perfect protagonist would be Maccer! We can all agree on that Edited June 12, 2016 by B Dawg Zello
Cheatz/Trickz
We need another Vice City before anything else. And I don't think we'll ever see Fierro or Venturas re-done. Official General
Osho
I know what you are saying but I think the boredom from the current GTAs can be attributed to the kind of underwhelming gameplay, and bad game design. R* are spending years in making these HD cities so detailed and beautiful but missing out on making them more fleshed out with more interactions, depth and activities to make them more interesting. I think it's usually a good idea to create a new city for the 3D era and keep it separate from the HD era. They can create more detailed cities with plenty of depth and scope for a game set in London and a great range of activities to enjoy. Isn't it possible to continue the 3D era with fresh stories, characters, and newer additions to the series with cities outside America under the new engine? If yes, then Rockstar should continue making more games with maps as large as SA's map size in 3D era then I'd definitely love to see the GTA set in the UK. It should probably take less resources and half the time it takes the developers to make massive worlds for an HD GTA. This way we can see more 3D GTA's being released along side with HD games. Sonnу
Come on guys, be honest, how quick that HD Vice City will get you bored? Think about it. It will be almost THE SAME as V! Same sunny beaches, ghettos, downtown, airport... Miami is actually pretty similar to LA.
BrownBear
This would be by far my favourite idea. I'd love to see a condensed mash up of the UK, something like London, a mash up of Liverpool/Birmingham/ Manchester, Glasgow/ Edinburgh. Throw in some smaller towns and cities, based off Brighton, sh*tty North East mill towns, maybe a posh Bristol/ Bath type town, maybe like Belfast, Cardiff. I don't really get why people think it'd be boring. Yeah, no sh*t, UK has a lower crime rate than the US. GTA isn't purely based off real life though, it's a mix of reality and portrayals in entertainment and media. Honestly, with so much culture, music, crime and so much other unique stuff, I really don't understand how it could go wrong. Sonnу
Official General
We need another Vice City before anything else. And I don't think we'll ever see Fierro or Venturas re-done. This over and over again. Before anything else, I want to see an up to date Vice City. VC needs HD justice. If they are not in any possible SP DLC for V, or no SP DLC at all, then there will be definitely no San Fierro or Las Venturas in this current gen. I honestly can't see either scenario happening, so I don't think we'll see SF or LV.

I'd love the idea of a HD VC and surrounding areas, always had done since HD existed. You're right in a small sense, Miami is similar to LA in some ways, but the two cities are still very different in physical appearance, climate, layout, atmosphere, culture, and demographics. The only things they have in common is that they both located in sunny and warm climates, they have beaches, glitz, glamour, and big nightlife scenes. Other than that they are very different. Miami has more of a tropical feel to its character, while LA just has a sunny Mediterranean-like feel. Miami also differs in the fact that's it's placed on islands too. I don't really get why people want VC again so bad. Is it the atmosphere? Just purely the setting? The underworld? Not that I'd dislike it, I just can't see what it'd offer that'd be more interesting than a new location.

Cheatz/Trickz
But put a protagonist in that is new to that setting, as has been the case for the majority of games, and you get a whole new dynamic. In V all the protagonists being from LS or having been there for ages meant that was no culture shock element to the narrative whatsover. ULPaperContact
Funny how this thread has gone a tad off topic. Anyway, I'd like to see HD San Fierro. But then again, I'm a bit biased seeing as I live near the real-life SF and love the way the place looks. Not to mention the history.
