This is a serious question. I noticed that once i go in free mode my instinct leads me to troll a specific player. Does it happen to you too?Can you control your instincts? And if you troll another player, what are your motivation, other than instinct?.

"you're instinct" you must be some heckuva dumb animal which is self explanatory for all trolls and griefer. I yesterday I had the pleasure of griefing a troll. I was riding in burton by the mall in my well armored rumpo when this low level idiot noob thought he good shoot me. when he rode past me I bumped him off the road then continued to chase and shoot him. I called merryweather mercenaries just for the hell of it and they had him trapped inside of posonby's .

I used my rumpo to block the doorway so he couldn't get out. but I did it wrong I parked the van side ways and he had room to get out so when he got free I kept chasing him down shooting him then I ran him over repeatedly with my van and killed him. I kept leaving troll messages on his phone like "ha ha ha scrub!" I have to say it felt so good for the shoe to be on the other foot.

All the time. Between passive moding and running around in front of snipers/RPGs, to sitting my donk, on passive, on a freeroam event vehicle, like a bicycle or motorcycle so no one can do anything but sit in my passenger seat. I find it so much more satisfying when I frustrate someone without having to fire a shot or blow them up.

Oh, buzzing people in a hydra, while passive is great. Most of the time, you see the dot dodge for cover, swerve all over the place. Few times I buzzed a guy and watched his super tumble as he spazzed out trying to avoid a death.

Im a friendly player... But extremely hostile and bonkers when provoked.

 

For me.. I look for trolls to play with. I don't attack friendlies so i need trolls and hostile players to set me off.

I generally start out going on my business and then succumb to the antisocial, hostile behavior of the many people that play Online. Most of these days I hop off Online feeling negative and drained, based on my own tendencies to derive the most meaning from the game when I am engaged in mindless combat.

Might as well say how it is for me: PvP can be fun, but the way I play it drains me and I'd do well to stop playing if the only enjoyment I get out of Online comes with such baggage.

I never troll... I mind my own business... But that's no guarantee to not get harrassed by assholes... Trolling is widespread. I used to get very enraged and pissed. But I came to the point along time ago that I wouldn't let a videogame with an asshole on the other end ruin my mood (too much)... I try to equal the K/D rate by killing them back. If I can't and that's a good possibility, as there are alot of better players than me, I just cut my losses after another death and switch sessions. I no longer go passive in the same session, as it would give them some (more)satisfaction.. Nop, I just leave and in the other session I start with passive on, to make sure another troll wouldn't waste my time once again...These players to me are time wasting pits. Before you know it you lost another 10 ish minutes to retaliate. I rather make some money instead... So, no more time wasting on those players by me...It's not my fault mom and dad hit them so hard in childhood... :-)

Seems to me that the only ones that need to deal with anything are the ones crying about crate gathering in public sessions.

 

Again, I reiterate for those who can't understand simple concepts:

And I've collected crates in full pubic sessions with very few problems. But if I get killed I don't cry. I shrug it off and move on. I certainly don't think I'm being trolled.

The only time that trolling gets to me is when someone just constantly chases me down. If they are going to do that, then i just make them chase me all the way out to the little islands at paleto bay, wait for them to try and get onto the same island, then just leave the game.

I think OP means grief rather than troll. Trolling is more like failing missions/heist on purpose and sh*t like that which I do not do unless provoked, like players trying to run you down with their car or something. Griefing on the other hand is something I enjoy very much ;oD. I grief randomly depending on my mood. Some players will be singled out, other times I prefer to grief the entire lobby which is usually more fun.

No i don't, however trollers are extremely annoying, but seriously though, many of them sucks at sniping... Once there is a guy trolling and calling me dog VIP cause i was enjoying my drink on my yacht, 8 minutes later he is screaming at his mic and rage quit.

And jets, not a problem, grab 4 friends that owns jets, form a team and rekt them all.

Mainly because it's a linear, turn-based game. If you're referring to the side games, well, yes, you could intentionally mess with other people, sure, which I wold term as "griefing," not "trolling," but the primary game, itself... no, you cannot troll it.

Not at all. You missed the sense of humor in my reply, which is unfortunate. However, it is not without a sense of truth, as well. GTAO is a sandbox, open realm environment where anything, pretty much, goes. Mario Party 8 is a board game-style, linear progression, turn-based game in which users can only make minor decisions toward objectives, like which way to go, buying candy, or when to allow the die to roll.

 

Still, I'd be sincerely curious as to your perspective, @TeammateAssist as to how someone might be able to "troll" (not "grief," mind you), Mario Party 8 and what you might cite as a comparative title in place of it? I'm not saying I'm right, at all. I'm actually curious to your thoughts.
