How do you get money in GTA Online?

I'm curious on how the majority of people get money on GTA Online. Are you the race practicer? Do you work as a bank robber? Do you sell stolen cars? Do you just kill every NPC you see? Or do you get money in a different way?

Edit: If you choose other, please say what it is.

Edit 2: If you use next gen, the reason none of the next gen DLC money earning methods is that I still have an Xbox 360, and can't afford to get GTA V on PC.

Update 1: Poll updated! Added a LOT more options! Still think I'm the only race practicer though.

VIP job + contact mission combo, best way to make money.

In the old days i would just grind and grind and grind. Then I had all the money I needed.

 

Then I spent it all on Pegasus vehicles.

 

Then heists came out, and I did them for more money. Then I spent it on more vehicles.

 

Then I did CMM. And then I spent it all on the vehicles for this update.

 

Now ... I guess I'll have a look at the new stuff soon.

I'm surprised you didn't mention VIP/CEO work. Most of my income comes from the VIP portion alone. The CEO thing is nice because I can have my VIP perks as long as I want.

Can make a small fortune every time you play. If I sit for two hours and play I make 250K

 

Which is 5.5-6 million a month, add dailies (if rockstar don't f*ck you on them) and you are looking at 7-8.5 million a month minus expenditure.

 

That's mid grinding though. You can do close to half a million a day if you really grind.

If I want to make money, I just play some custom LTS jobs. They give pretty good money and I have loads of fun doing them.

Rooftop Rumble till payouts were kinda equil for all contact missions. Then random contact missions. After that Fleeca Elite till VIP came, last update did made me dump hostile takeover and do headhunters instead along with sightseer.
