When playing a player/R* made race alone, you still get money and RP. Is this intended or is it an oversight? I'm not complaining, but it does seem overpowered.

Still, pretty OP if you make a race and do that exact thing over and over. If you do that, you should only get arojnd $1,500 and 100 RP.

Payouts are based on how long you are playing the job. It isn't OP, it's so that you can practice different races without wasting your time because you're getting paid. If you want to sit there for hours playing solo races by all means do it, you're not going to become a multi millionaire doing this. It's just a passive activity you can do, like Sightseer in an Invite only lobby.

 

Edit: It is much more fun to just add more laps to make a race longer by the way. It would be stupid to just stop after each checkpoint.

They made it so you can make money, but it's not worth the effort.

Now, if you look at it from the perspective of someone doing the races as practice, then the payout is a bonus.

And if you get good enough on a particular track, doing it solo, your chances of winning against other players is increased, and so will the payout be.

More so if you bet.

Just saying.

Maximum solo for a published race is $8,000 after racing for 8 minutes and 1790RP.
