I wonder what r* is thinking about these solo ceo threads

Start banning people for using programs and cheap tricks to get solo lobbies?

Or better yet make CEO work only if 5 players are in the lobby like crates.

How is turning on Spotify with gtao running a cheap trick? :p

What's the point on playing a multi-player game if you're going to avoid the multi part?

Pretty sure it has been pointed out a dozen of times by now in multiple threads. But since the likes of you have a hard time of scroling a couple pages back here it is.

Public lobbies in GTAO are cancer, its toxic. Its full of morons, pricks, trolls, greifers and 12 year olds that turn those lobbies into a 24h a day warzone and greiffest(you may think that those people know that DM exists for that very purpose).People like us play rather solo or with friends only because of it, to enjoy the game having fun doing what we want without worrying about some jetfag to nuke the hell out of the place or greifing c*nts to be an constant annoyance. We can deal with those people but they aren't worth it that we waste our time on them which is limited for some of us.

That should pretty much sum up all the main points.

Ha ha Hippy GTA. You people take this video game far to seriously.

I've yet to be "griefed" (being killed is not griefing) by a jet during any cargo missions. If it happens, it happens. It's part of the game. I'm certainly not going to start crying about it on a forum and I'm most certainly not going to wish that Rockstar makes what is already an extremely hand-holdy easy access game even more hand-holdy.

What you have to accept is that everyone likes different things. You're way is not the correct way to play as there is no correct way. Nor are you any better than anyone else because you choose to play a certain way.

I hope this explains to you how a game like GTA works. If it doesn't, ah well I tried.

As I pointed out but you obviously miss there is a difference between a fight here and there and a 24h a day warzone.Never cried about it as I avoid it, I'm a PVE player primary, however since this CEO job forces PVE players into PVP it is a problem.

As for the greifing I was talking about it in general rather than CEO job related. And as I mentioned, some of us don't have much time to play because of work or whatever so we would rather enjoy playing the game and having fun than dealing with morons.Never said anything about a correct way to play, you just asumed that, there are different playstyles yes but if a group that play in one playstyle is forced to play in a different one or someone interferes then it isn't fun anymore.

I'm not taking things too serious, I'm just calling out bullsh*t when I see it.

I'm here to enjoy that game and thats it so let the greifers and everyone deal with eachother in Public sessions while the PVE, Invite Only and Crew session people enjoy their own thing as it always was.

Perhaps to enjoy PvE content that isn't available in story mode, or perhaps just to hang out with friends. Overall, I would hazard to guess they play to have fun.

The bigger question for which nobody has really given a truthful answer is why do you care what others do to entertain themselves with a video game?

That would be a good question to ask Rockstar.

Oh, that's right, Rockstar already answered this question. Their answer is a big fat f*ck-you to all the fans who just want to play a balanced game and have fun.

But maybe Rockstar is exactly right, and knows exactly what they are doing -- maybe they know that 95% of the fanbase are nihilistic, exploiting greifing assholes, and Rockstar has in fact properly designed Online just for that vast majority. Win!

LOL at the people who think we shouldn't be allowed to buy/sell crates in empty or invite only. Why the f*ck do you care how or why somebody else plays the game? The fact that you guys even care that some people aren't trying to invests entire days on end to "get gud" is super f*cking pathetic...

Thought it was "just a game bro"?, so why do you even care if people wanna grind legit without cheating or mods..?

Non Funkable Token

They know. On yestedays stream, they tried to do it in a public lobby. After getting raped by everyone, a few people with modded accounts, and then everyone lagging out, they fired up an invite only and did CEO there for the stream.

So we know for a fact they can change it whenever they please.

I actually don't mind, I almost always play in public lobbys, but I agree it should be an option.

Edit: Upon further explaination, it appears that you can be a CEO in an invite only lobby, you just cant deliver crates.

AND THERE GOES "THE PURPOSE OF THE DLC", public lobby defenders, MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I gotta wonder what are they are thinking about people use methods to get a solo lobby and grind ceo jobs.

You know the original intentions was to make it only a pubic lobby where other ppl fight for it. I wonder if r* will do something since players are using not using the original intention in mind.

I just hit FIND NEW SESSION until I'm alone.

If they wanted it to work in a realistic manner amongst a living criminal underworld they shouldn't have flooded the game with mass amounts of explosives, near invincible military ground combat vehicles, heavily armored sports cars, war jets & attack choppers.

First off I'm a grown ass man so who you calling a kid. I completely understand that it can be difficult in a public lobby but the reason they did it this way is because there are risk that come along with selling drugs and other illegal items.

If anybody sounds like a kid it's you with your I can't have it my way so I'm gonna cry about it attitude. Sorry I'm able to think logically and realize it makes perfect sense that in order to sell illegal goods there are risk involved.

Sure, you're an adult. That's why you're so bent out of shape that other people want to (what amounts to) play a video game on "easy" difficulty setting. Do you realize how juvenile, autistic, and just downright silly that is?

I repeat, why do you care how others want to play this game. It WILL NOT affect your gameplay whatsoever, or will it? If so, please explain.

If we're talking for the sake of realism, the risk of dealing in contraband is largely the risk of going to prison (or just getting ripped off by buyers/sellers). Going realism I'd suspect most organized crime activities encounter virtually no resistance, complications, or legal ramifications far more often than not. Not every time EVERY TIME you go to buy or sell something illegal your position is instantly known to 20+ homicidal maniacs with infinite access to the military hardware contained in the average National Guard base and who will be paid to destroy (not even steal) your contraband. To make matters worse they don't even die when you kill them but come back at you after 4 or 5 seconds. Way to go, realism!

I'd suggest that even the level of NPC resistance in a solo session is over-the-top if compared to the reality of smuggling, drug running, or fencing stolen goods.

I'm not upset by this either way. It's laughably easy to wind up in a solo session (it happens often enough without even trying) or just join friends who are in quiet sessions, and I can make enough in-game money in an hour grinding Pac Standard to have packages blown up for the next 8 hours if I care to do so.

Again, going by the excuse of "realism" if you were going to set up shop doing organized crime in a city where a few other bosses already operated, you would either make agreements with them so everyone could operate without making too many waves, or move on to a different place without as much competition. That's like business 101.... location, location, location. If a market is saturated or there's too much competition it's a bad location in which to operate and you don't go into business there.

Lastly, I again defy you to explain how this hurts YOU in any way if some players want to only do this with friends or just by themselves? If someone was able to and wanted to do this stuff in a place where the only opposition was fluffy bunnies why should you care? Also you neglected to address the very real problem of out of control hackers/cheaters in PC. Or would you say that "if you want to sell drugs you should expect to be teleported across the country or turned into a snowman)?

What's really the matter, is your KD ratio going down from casual players learning how to avoid you? You might as well be upset that people are allowed to play story mode without you hopping in and mercing them.

Wow. Someone has anger issues. All this because I asked why you have a problem playing a multiplayer game with multiple people.

It doesn't hurt me and I don't know why K/D got brought into this because I could care less about it and judging by the multiple paragraphs you've written in response you take video games way more seriously than they are.

I can tell you're a real piece of sh*t anyways because of your autism comment. My fiancé has a kid who has autism so unlike you I don't see it as an insult and I'd imagine her autistic child is more adjusted to reality than you.

Originally I was just playing devils advocate now I hope everytime you try and do your CEO work all your sh*t gets destroyed and you rage and come here to bitch and cry about it.

Personally, I don't think they'd quite have the nerve.

I think if anything, it might go more the other way.

Then again, they don't seem to mind ruining things for other large parts of the community, so you never know.

Right enough rambling, time to come to a decision:

I think they won't crack down on people doing it solo - I think they'll just keep it as it is. But, I do think they'll start listening to other complaints now, like those about jets/flying vehicles. Jets are getting a lot of flak right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they either gives us a new weapon to take them down, or just flat out nerf them. Or change how Pegasus works, who knows.

Inb4 they give us an anti aircraft tank with the speed of the insurgent, the armor of a tank, firing homing launcher misiles at the rate of a savage firing rockets and give it an explosive canon that can aim any direction including the grounw and then think that that fixes things

Lmao, Thats to funny

Hey, hold on a second, this is GTA Online. GTA Online REQUIRES an online connection and DOES NOT require more than one player in order for you to play, even though there are missions, heists and competitive modes that need two players or more. What I'm trying to say is that, for those thinking this is in fact a multiplayer game, you are not entirely correct. It can be a multiplayer experience or a solo experience, not necessarily one or the other all the time.

All I'm sayin is that this is GTA Online and not GTA Multiplayer, based on the things we can do in this game on our own and those that do need others in order to be played.

It should be an option to play on your own and I wish it was beacause I like to play on my own. But it isn't and I'll adapt because I like the new content and want to play it and at the same time politely petition to Rockstar that they make it solo-able as well.

There is already an incentive to pit yourself against others as there is a "risk bonus" for every buy and delivery that you succesfully complete that escalates depending on the number of players in the session up to a maximum of 25 players. Check it out if you don't know yet, it's in the files.

So why not solo? There's not really much of a penalty and R* isn't really losing money or gaining it per se. As it has been mentioned before, there's quicker and more efficient ways of making money anyways and there's the finale glitch that still active if you're so focused on making money.

For one, I like to play solo for immersion and this update has added a lot to that, and I like to play these for fun, and the money is good (not the best but I don't care). Solo should've been an option and I hope it is in the future, I don't see really why it should be punished to play on your own as long as you don't ruin it for anyone else.

LOL I know this is an old thread, but the topic in general is more or less current. I wasn't going to join this forum initially just because whatever, but that was so good I had to create an account so I could thumbs that up and fire off some comments. Besides, I need something to do while I serve out my BAN from GTA Online. :dontgetit:

R*'s one-of-a-kind BAN policy and their top-drawer customer "support" won't even let me know the charge(s) against me let alone allow me an opportunity to appeal, so I have to assume:

A) no reason at all

B) too many unsolicited money drops from sh*thead MODDERS over the years and I wasn't fast enough to bail from the lobbies

C) being in heists where hosts did finale glitch (which I had no control over)

D) being a big fan of solo public sessions.

If the answer is D), I'll be seeing the permaban screen sooner than later and I'll be finished with GTA Online for good.

When I get my permaban (for probably no GOOD reason again) I'll still play the old school single player R* games though, but there will be no future R* games. I might think about considering it as long as doesn't cost me a dime, but that would be the only way. Seeing as how this forum covers the whole series and not only GTA Online, it's worth the join :^:

Your hostility towards people who use solo lobbies to conduct their business in peace and your RAGE at the fact that you can't mess with them suggests that you may be a tryhard. As we all know, tryhards are big on the K/D thing, hence the K/D comment.

Another possibility is you're a simple griefer. Pretty self-explanatory. Just figured I'd add that.

Thank you for your thoughts, but I have pretty much lost all hope. It'll be 2 weeks tomorrow and still not a peep from R* "support" other than their BAN policy that I have already read dozens of times since. I've been banned, UNbanned, then REbanned while others have gotten e-mails saying their bans were lifted. It's been days now since I have heard of such an e-mail being received, so I am coming to terms with the fact that I didn't make the cut. Whatever this mystery crime is that I have allegedly committed, it must have been a bad one. I guess we'll never know. RIP lvl 501 RIP 1700+ hours :/

I (we) get more feedback from the little pissant trolls on the R* community support forum than I (we) do from R* "support" itself. It's quite pathetic, to say the least.

Thank you for linking those threads. I'll check those out

However, Ive wondered about this topic quite a bit.

I've come to the conclusion if they do stop it I will stop playing C* games period.

That or I will start glitching anything and everything.

Not really a secret, LOL. Nice try though.

I won't sit and play in the cloud sim all f*cking day trying to find a good lobbie. I will make my own in under 20 seconds without having to change lobbies.

But as I said in a different thread, as long as you are making money and having fun doing it your way, it's a win win.

Thank you for your concern, but I became aware of that when Jimbatron KINDLY and POLITELY posted links directing me to those much more recently-updated threads after reading my replies to hispls and KornbreadMaf1a. I would have ended up finding those threads, probably QUICKLY anyway, but I still appreciated the gesture.

Also, things are not always what they seem. If you could go ahead and find out from R* if the reason for my ban was in fact D), that'd be great! Because they sure as hell ain't telling me anything.

Have yourself a great day :rol:

My point as well. Multiple ways to play, Multiple ways to do it. Have fun.

Players who either grind to make money or buy shark cards for money ultimately spend those credits on vehicles, properties etc. Either way it makes R* money. You don't need to have a gunship, armored vehicle, fast car etc. when only a few players have them, you need those items when most (or a lot of) people have them and you don't. Whatever the means, more people with higher performance things creates an environment where players strive to acquire them, and many will opt to open their wallets to get to that level.
