Lol, I swear why does it ALWAYS have to be either a program, a hack, or a mod? It's due to R* servers that are shx. I don't have to do anything for a full lobby to just disappear, and boom I'm in a solo public lobby. I have it down pact so good, all I have to do is go on a killing frenzy on players, and boom, whole lobby is empty with just me in it. Besides who cares? Lobbies are full of trolling A**holes that can't play anyways.

Playing this CEO stuff in public sessions can be fun, but all you need is one prick and it's over... I've been wondering about the lag out solo public playing... Personally I don't think it'll last, so I make best of it while I can...

 

It's hilarious how folks exist... well not really, but ok... I was playing solo public... In between colllects I was playing headhunter and all of the sudden I heard a rocket lock onto me... I thought: 'wow, these guard- NPCs have RL now too?'.. Then my buzzard got shot down and I saw it... x shoot y down... I pressed to see if I was alone and NOP... ONE player got in unnoticed (by me) and the first thing he does, is come after me and shoot me down during my headhunter... Ok I know it's the whole 'idea' to 'protect' the NPC against me, but still, It's an asshole thing to do... So I said something along those lines... Lagged myself out and continue on my merry way...

 

I ain't doing any delivery in any crowded public session. No way in hell I'm risking losing my hardearned cash through lamers' actions to gain a few quid and RP on my back... If they force us to do it, I'll search for other ways to grind out my cash (like I did in the past already), but not like this... Even the NPC-raids on full warehouses are a lil over the top... This is actually literally stealing our hard-earned money back... And 11 crates (10% of a big warehouse) isn't peanuts... It's bloody 2 hours of normal grinding they take away from you... Not cool at all...

I haven't tried the new CEO jobs yet selling crates of merchandise and stocking warehouses, but from what I understand with what I am reading it is a System created specifically based on the risk/reward aspect, creating intense fights over income or the chance to lose it if a group of players stops you. Making players on their grind have to REALLY work together and communicate to succeed.

 

 

I've played other games where Grinders of cash were out doing their thing trying to stock up when a group of Player Killers would raid said 'cash cow' and profit off their hard earned work. Those that survived and managed to escape or were able to fight off said death squads, profited big time. Those that were defeated by the group lost all of their belongings plus the cash they stacked up while they were there. Hense the 'risk/reward' system. Those without proper organization and communication were dominated and robbed of their trip of cash.

 

GTAs CEO jobs aren't as complex as what I've described of the other game's system because there's so much more to it but its somewhat similar. Just dulled down to the only reward anyone is getting if they succeed is the CEO. PKs in this system don't have any significant reward financially, only the satisfaction that they were able to stop the CEOs grind. Simply put, a cash sink. Most game's that used this system were MMOs ( the game's system I described was an MMO ) soo maybe they were thinking on a larger scale with the new CEO stuff but it backfired a bit due to them not having dedicated servers plus a list of other problems.

 

In the end, a fault on their own, again. So yeah, I wonder what they're thinking too.. Lol.. Edit: but I'm looking forward to what it can turn into when they find a balance to this, because the whole idea has a LOT of potential.

I don't understand why people can't get that rockstar wants you to be in contest with other players in free roam while doing CEO work. It was completely designed around it. If you enable it to be done in a invite only then there will be nothing stopping you from completing the mission. Rockstar wants you to battle with other players for your goods and theirs. Look I lost a bunch of money to people blowing up my shipments but I'm not going to cry about it on a forum for them to change something that's not going to get changed.

Even R* themselve had to cheat to be actually able to do the jobs normally on the stream so that backfired quite quick, check previous page.Only problem is that its not a contest but a slaughter house with all the greifers in public sessions.Never complained about anything before but this is a serious problem and there is no way around it but to call it out.

But really, as much as this is how CEO was intended to go, due to badly balanced mechanics, it compromises the whole concept pretty badly IMO. I'll keep collecting crates in populated lobbies, but i'll never sell them there...only a moron WOULD.

I think they won't crack down on people doing it solo - I think they'll just keep it as it is. But, I do think they'll start listening to other complaints now, like those about jets/flying vehicles. Jets are getting a lot of flak right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they either gives us a new weapon to take them down, or just flat out nerf them. Or change how Pegasus works, who knows.

And how will they know someone is lagswitching or blocking ports? Unless the next update contains a keylogger or NSA dudes outside your window, they won't be able to tell whether someone is lagswitching or just having a sh*t connection or whether someone is deliberately blocking ports or just having a trigger-happy firewall.

 

And no, it's not a cheap trick. Or at least it's not as cheap as the kills some players are getting while CEO's are trying to do their work in peace.

CEO stuff can be done in Invite Only, you just can't buy/sell crates. Still, the fact that their public session was a complete sh*tfest prior and the fact that they had to start up an invite-only session kind of says something.

Then why the f*ck they send NPC's after our crates AND allow NPC's only to raid our warehouses? If it was a "you must only battle with players" type of thing, why would they even bother with NPC's, knowing well how badly can players behave?

I just logged in to give it one final chance and fluked a lobby with five players. Three left and it was just me and one other. He eventallu left and nows its me.

 

I swear, I am not leaving this lobby until I at least make my investment back. And every time I fluke an empy lobby I am grinding it silly. Will never play a public lobby again though. Bought about fifteen crates and managed to get ONE back home. Didn't ven get to sell that. Got creamed on the way.

Are there any restrictions in how your bodyguards can protect the CEO? What's stopping your guys from grabbing a jet themselves and protecting against any aerial attacks?
