I gotta wonder what are they are thinking about people use methods to get a solo lobby and grind ceo jobs.

 

You know the original intentions was to make it only a pubic lobby where other ppl fight for it. I wonder if r* will do something since players are using not using the original intention in mind.

If they make CEO missions unavailable in solo or low-population free mode lobbies, there's going to be even more of a backlash than there already is. This was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of players already. If they burrow deeper into this mistake it's because they WANT GTA O to die so they can push their next game without people wanting to settle for GTA V.

 

Of course, that means that most of us competent customers won't be buying it. Then again, most of us competent customers don't buy shark cards, so we're not the target audience anymore.

True but I'm sure r* knows what goes in public lobbies. Maybe they know people are pricks to blow up stuff so they can damper folks from making money too fast. Which in turn buy u a cash card.

I think they won't crack down on people doing it solo - I think they'll just keep it as it is. But, I do think they'll start listening to other complaints now, like those about jets/flying vehicles. Jets are getting a lot of flak right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they either gives us a new weapon to take them down, or just flat out nerf them. Or change how Pegasus works, who knows.

Personally, I don't think they'd quite have the nerve. Didn't they quietly buff CEO bodyguard payments (unless I'm mistaken)? So I guess they're listening to some extent.

They are forcing us to play against each other, like a caged dog fight.

 

Public lobby PvP is a waste of time and money, in a game revolving around making money to get stuff.

 

Besides NPC/cops are overpowered by their accuracy and damage, so it's a fair challenge, no need for PvP

 

I will try the solo session method to grind the CEO merchandise thing some time

Edit: Upon further explaination, it appears that you can be a CEO in an invite only lobby, you just cant deliver crates.

Then everyone will bitch about the payout difference instead. Then they will make a petition. And when Rockstar ignores it, then they will still go do the missions in the public lobbies because GTA$ > having fun. I've studied the GTA:O audience quite well, and there is a significant and very vocal faction among it, which CONSTANTLY looks for things to bitch about, yet for some reason keep playing the game. As a matter of fact, this kind of people are part of the reason why every software product manager takes end user feedback with a grain of salt - there no pleasing some people.

I've studied the GTA:O audience quite well, and there is a significant and very vocal faction among it, which CONSTANTLY looks for things to bitch about, yet for some reason keep playing the game.

True people will bitch about anything even if some of that is just ridiculous to bitch about it in the first place.Its mostly the selfish and oversensitive people who didn't get what "they" want while ignoring others that were interested for that content.As I always say, if it is not something that interests you then ignore it, there are otheres interested into it so no need to be a party pooper and ruin somebody elses fun.

 

However if it is something that everyone is complaining about(even the people who never complained about anything before) then obviously it is a problem.

 

Have to say quite funny that R* got a taste of their own medicine after they were pretty much forced to go to invite only and turn CEO jobs on there for themselve to be actually able to do the jobs normaly, hopefully that teaches them a lesson.

Well, considering that their original intentions of GTA:O was to have it be a place to do your own thing (which is why we have bicycles/casual vehicles, apartments, and cameras -- stuff either impractical or unavailable in jobs) and meet new people, and not serve as a 24/7 street war (that's what deathmatchs are there for), and how they refused to make passive mode usable for such on the 360/PS3, I can't really imagine they would do much of anything to prevent people from soloing CEO work.

At any rate, I'm absolutely sure they could make it work for us if they wanted to. They could do nearly anything if they wanted to.

 

I think they'll keep it as it is though, maybe add some settings to stop jets interfering, or nerf/buff a few things.

 

At the same time, ignoring the whole "balance" argument, I do think loners should get to play wherever the hell they like, to be honest.
